in-game zenos model how does it feel to be the love of my life

it is like. so impressive how much the half life series has done for video games. just in terms of always displaying what video games can be for their time. like, so much of what feels like a given for video games now had not really been seen before hl2. and now hl:a has really shown off the potential of vr where i think a lot of people had been brushing it off before. vr has always been like.. a novelty. not much thought put into the games themselves outside of the fact that oh look! i can move my hands and look around how cool :)! but then hl:a comes out and it's fucking beautiful, and expands on this pre established world in the most interesting ways, and the characters and dialogue are so charming, and the combat feels good and takes full advantage of the platform it's been made on. it's just a good game outside of being in vr but that fact that it is in vr makes it all the better and that's what i think vr games should be like! tbh ten years from now, im almost positive so much of what feels new and amazing and impressive about hl:a will just feel like a given for vr games of this genre and that is honestly really cool to think about
