12. Most underrated vid that you wished had gotten more views?

So I spent a lot of time on Devotion, the House/Wilson series-spanning vid that ate my life after I slammed back House MD during a bout of medical leave. It didn't show up in the tags for some reason, so it never took off - but it's basically the epitome of Foreman's speech to Wilson in 8.21: "Past 20 years you've had three wives, hundreds of colleagues, thousands of patients, but you've only kept that one best friend." Codependency!

And it does indeed span House and Wilson's myriad of troubles: love interests, career near-sabotages, drugs, cancer and a fake death and how they stuck with eachother throughout. I love this dumb medical malpractise show.

4. Vid you're the proudest of?

Answered this already, but I'm going to self-plug another favourite: my EEAAO vid Medea, because it was basically one part therapy session that I cried while making, and one part tribute to my love for Vienna Teng. I adored the imagery in the lyrics, and am very happy with how it juxaposes - the epic narrative of a greek tragedy and visuals of a multiverse-hopping drama, but in the end it comes down to a story of generational trauma and healing.

4. Vid you're the proudest of? So i have a fourway that tie for "proudest vid" each for their own reasons:

1. the country's new behaviour (Chernobyl, ensemble) Chernobyl gnawed on my brain ever since I watched it and I wanted to make something that made use of it's stunning visuals and multiple characters/storylines, but I also really wanted to capture it's political messaging - not just about speaking truth to power, but also how it depicts authoritative buraucracy, the ruthless soviet government, and how ordinary people survive, get crushed, outlive, resist, and navigate the machinery of the system.

Which wasn't easy to do when the song length is 2:35! The movement, the juxtapostions - I wanted to make the vid feel claustrophobic and with a looming sense of dread, the way the show does. I'm very happy with the outcome, overall, because I created a very dense and thematically packed vid that's exactly the tone and style I set out to do.

2. Story of my Life (mcu, steve/bucky) yeah I spent way too much effort on an MCU vid in the year of our lord 2024, but this has been in the works since 2016 and finishing it made people quite a few happy!

This is my most technically challening one so far - i learned a lot of new techniques for it - how to do a moving halftone effect, how to do a glitching effect, how to do split-screen without making it hard to watch. i'm just REALLY satisfying with how the split-screen merges on the punch, how the fight scene syncs up, the emotional impact, the visuals, the parallels - spent a lot of time combing through the movies to find the perfect clip, but I can rewatch it and go Yeah, this is exactly what I was going for.

3. Put On A Show (Wheel of Time, Lanfear) No elaborate reasons for this one, except that WOMEN'S WRONGS HOT and I'm so so so satisfied with how the microcuts synch up and it's just one of my favourites to rewatch.

4. Til You Hit a Nerve (Knives Out, Marta, Helen & Andi) Same as above, it just makes me grin to rewatch! This came together surpringly smoothly despite pulling together two sources with different styles in very different colour palettes and I'm really happy how well it flows

9. What are some fandoms and/or ships you'd like to vid for but haven't yet?

So many! there's a batch of Andor vids that I have songs for, but I am waiting for S2 to come out to fully vid them to their potential (Mon Mothma, Luthen & Old Guard, S2 Thea Gilmore vid that's a sequel-vid to the S1 vid, and a Andor+R1 vid on the sporadic nature of rebellion). Then there are two multi-source vids that I'm sloooowly gathering media for (queer-coded villains and haunted houses), and one Taskmaster experimental thing ("What if Taskmaster was a conspiracy thriller?") that's a lot of effort.
