she'd never dreamed of white picket fences, but one day she seemed to wake up surrounded by them. it had been easier that way, marry the high school sweetheart (who had been the first boy to look her kindly), have the kids, adopt the dog. it was most people's dream. and yet...

she lived in her daydreams. she was in california, with her real high school sweetheart. they were free to hold hands in public, free to be themselves. it was a quaint, but happy life. in reality, she sat at her desk job, husband waiting for her at home. in reality, she really needed a cigarette on the ride home from work.

the job offer was a welcome distraction. she'd been asked to help manage a project, an amusement park in a dying town. it was a big undertaking, sure to cut down on any free time as she tried to save the park.

now, the stress distracts her from her daydreams; keeps her grounded. but at night, laying in bed staring at the ceiling, she's in california again. still in her youth, no husband, no kids, no pressure.

THIS BIO CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING TRIGGERS : death

he's born on jeju island to two young newlyweds. they'd run away from home together and gotten married without their families' approvals. his mother had managed to hide her pregnancy until she came to full-term, and the moment that jaehyun had been born, they fled jeju island.

his family was small, but loving. the hardships were unbearable at times; even to a young child. his father would often sleep at his office, leaving him to be raised by his mother and grandmother. finally, one day, his father came home with life-altering news. they would be moving to america the following week, following a job promotion.

at just ten years old, jaehyun's life was flipped on it's head. he was forced to say goodbye to everything he knew, and move to a new, unfamiliar place. they landed in california, where they stayed for the first four years in america. his freshman year of highschool, they moved to roswell, new mexico. 

in california, he had been timid, awkward, and hard to approach. though he suffered from loneliness, he refused to let anyone get close to him. jaehyun was afraid to get close to anyone ever again, the fear of losing them too great.

so he became jason. outgoing, confident, the class clown with a joke always loaded. he stood taller, threw himself into his studies, joined every sports team that would take him. he was prom king, top of his class, jason was the complete opposite of what jaehyun had been.  still, something was missing. 

that's when he found the vipers. or rather, a viper something about being with him -- it turned his brain off. he wanted to follow him, and so he did. followed him to intercept, where they shacked up in a one bedroom house. the closest to home jason had felt since moving to america.

he still isn't sure what happened. every story he was told was different, all he was sure of was that his viper was gone. a victim of his line of work. it was just him, alone in intercept; a viper. any desire to be in the mc was lost the moment his lover has died, but now he's stuck; alone. still, he keeps his sense of humor. he shows up to work every day with a smile, just trying to keep himself sane while he plans his escape from both the vipers and the city of intercept.

➥ his mother : suggested faceclaims include allison janney, toni collette, katey sagal, christina ricci, etc. his rock and safe place, his relationship with his mother is the entire reason he doesn't fall into a life of crime. his dad was a doting father and loving husband, but in and out of the picture. they were each other's only constant. recently their relationship has grown tense, but we can discuss that more. ➥ highschool sweetheart : fc can be anyone within his age range. he's always been somewhat soft-spoken/reserved, but they brought out a softer side in him. they dated on and off throughout high school, and after they graduated split up due to reasons we can discuss further :) we can also discuss the current state of their relationship

from the moment scott was born, he was a viper. or at least, that's what his father would say the first time he looked into his son's eyes. his father had been a founding member of the vipers, and proud of it. they didn't see his father too often, him living in roswell and leaving them in intercept. though he loved his mc, it was safer for them that way. uninvolved, essentially a secret. when he was home he showered them in money and gifts, a new bike, a new doublewide. whatever he could do to make their lives more comfortable, he did. their lives weren't grand, but they were happy. that was, until the day he came home from school to two motorcycles waiting for him. neither of them were his father's. they'd been trusted members of the club, trusted to keep them safe and maintain the secret of their existence. it had been an accident, something totally freak (or at least that's what they had told him). he left them a wad of cash, and a letter for scott to give to the leader of the vipers when he was ready. he kept the letter deep in a drawer somewhere, confliction keeping him from throwing it away entirely. life when his father was alive had been easier; despite their humble lives, the money seemed to never end. everyday that his mother was gone, waitressing at the local diner day and night, he sat at home, staring at his desk drawer.  it's been a little over five years since his father died, and he's kept his promise to his mother. he has refused joining the mc at every invitation (usually after kicking the asses of a few of their prospects), and maintains a job at the gas station.  he can't help but wonder, though, what it would be like. to have more than just his mom, to have an actual family. to be a viper.
