Unfortunately I’ve just started the new academic year so I’ve been busy settling back into my dorm, getting everything organised like re-applying for student council + new class schedule + catching up with friends whom I hadn’t seen in a while (thanks to the summer of hell I’ve been through still going through) and on top of that I’m also busy planning my city trip to Sevilla which will occur in two weeks. So tl;dr I’ve been really really swamped and haven’t got the time to work on the AU yet. But once everything has settled down and once Michi Week is all set to go, I will continue on the superpowered AU. Which will have *spoiler alert* more Jyoura. ;)

12. Have you ever been disappointed when your ship finally got together?

Barney/Robin from How I Met Your Mother, because the writers really messed that relationship up so badly in favour of Robin/Ted. They devoted an entire season to Barney and Robin’s wedding right up to the penultimate episode, only to have them get a divorce ten minutes into the finale and have Robin suddenly “realise” that she’d been in love with Ted all along, even though she repeatedly turned down his advances through the course of, like what, six seasons and even though Ted had finally come to terms that Robin and him weren’t meant to be. Not to mention that the mother of Ted’s kids died during the finale, basically rendering her as a tool, as the uterus to give Ted the two kids he always wanted before getting back together with Robin. Honestly the himym finale was just really obnoxious and it’s no surprise so many fans were pissed off. Like @piedrpiper explained so well in her reply: the writers didn’t understand these characters nor the development they underwent through the seasons. I understand they had this vision of Ted/Robin, as the very final scene was already shot around S3, and back then it would have worked, but considering the development these characters underwent, it didn’t work anymore and they completely neglected this development. 

A more recent ship I’m disappointed with when they finally got together is definitely Jess/Rory from Gilmore Girls. (I’ve only started watching this show recently, and am now at the end of S3.) I’ve been rooting for them to get together all through S2 and the first half of S3, because I loved that they had so much in common, that they were kindred spirits intellectual-wise and taste-wise, and I really thought they’d be a good influence on each other. Jess being able to challenge Rory, something Dean never could (no offense to Dean, because he’s sweet and I do like him), and Rory seeing the good in Jess (while everyone else immediately wrote him off), being able to bring that out more. But no, instead when they finally do get together, we hardly actually see them be together (save for the occasional make-out session and other people mentioning they spend time together all the time), and we actually get to see Rory and Dean built a better relationship even though she strung him along because she wanted to be with Jess. Not to mention their break-up was so weird and messy. I just don’t understand this development and I couldn’t be more disappointed. (But in a way I do understand Jess being the way he is, since he’s had such a damaged broken upbringing, but I was hoping his relationship with Rory would have had a more positive influence on him. Maybe a second relationship between them would be better, when they’re older and even wiser. If that makes any sense?)

That being said, I still ship both ships, just not canon-wise. I prefer being in my fanon bubble, shipping the potential they had, shipping what they could have been.

17. Talk about a pairing you’ve stopped shipping romantically.

Without a doubt Rumple/Belle from Once Upon a Time. I honestly don’t understand why they keep forcing this destructive ship on its viewers. It’s clear that Rumple loves his power more than Belle, and that Belle is more than done with him and moved on, yet they keep coming back to it.

21. Is there a ship you just don’t get, but have nothing against?

Hmm, this is tough to answer, because honestly even if I don’t ship something I can understand why others do? Like I personally don’t ship Jon/Dany from Game of Thrones, but I can see why others would. (Maybe that’s why I multi-ship in practically any fandom I’m in.) And if I don’t understand why people ship a certain ship, then it’s because it’s something I can’t get behind myself at all. An example that comes to mind is Kilgrave/Jessica from Jessica Jones.

24. Do you mostly ship canon pairings?

I’m afraid not. I tend to ship those fanon ships that aren’t the most popular in fandoms, such as Taichi/Mimi (Digimon), Dick/Artemis (YJ) and so many others.

31. Talk about one of your favorite headcanons for a ship you love.

I’ll be generous and give you three. ;)

1) Some time after their adventure in the Digital World had come to an end, Taichi realised that even though the eight of them hang out constantly, he had never truly hung out just one-on-one with Mimi, while he had with everyone else. Even Hikari had hung out solely with Mimi, as she had asked the older girl for help when needing to shop for a present for their mother (Mimi does know the best places to shop after all) and been getting along really well ever since. So when all of them were hanging out at a travelling funfair, all of them wanted to ride the bumper cars, except for Mimi who wanted to stay at the hooking the rubber ducks-stand because she really wanted to win the tiny ballerina figurines with the green tutu’s. Taichi remembered the time when she and Jyou split up from the group and when he didn’t respect her feelings nor wishes, and he figured this might be a first good step to interact with her one-on-one, so he offered to stay with her at the fishing stand while the others went to ride the bumper cars. They were having a really good time and found that they have more in common than they initially thought they did (they only thought they had the extroversion and loudness in common). Then when Mimi had enough ticket points, with Taichi adding his to hers, she surprised him by not asking for the three green ballerina’s, but two and the little pencil sharpener shaped as a soccerball for him. Later on, when Taichi and Hikari came home from the funfair, he placed the soccer sharpener on his desk and Hikari asked him if he had fun at the duck fishing stand with Mimi, to which he replied he did, and then Hikari stated that she was glad to hear so, because Mimi had told her during one of their outings that she found it odd that she and Taichi had never hung out just them before. Taichi smiled at this, since Mimi apparently had the same train of thought as him, and he made a mental note to hang out with just her more.

2) Since I’m working on an outline to write my superpowered digimon au as an actual fic (at least trying to), I’ve been having many feels regarding this au, so have a Michi headcanon for this au: When Taichi came back home from his encounter with Mimi, he couldn’t stop thinking about her and wanted to find out her name by trying to copy what Koushiro did on his computer (’Hacking can’t be that hard, right?’ Taichi thought to himself.) Obviously he was failing miserably at it, and even forget to erase the history, so when Koushiro used the computer the next day, he couldn’t help but tease Taichi mercilessly about it. He did offer to track her for him, but by then Taichi was so annoyed that he told Kou to not bother anymore. Even when they all met after being recruited by the D.I.G.I.-agency, and Taichi was speechless when seeing his mystery girl again, Koushiro couldn’t help but tease him again (especially considering Daisuke tried to flirt with her as well).

3) After the war against Ramsay Bolton, and while Jon and Sansa are settling back into Winterfell, Tormund is becoming more and more concerned as to why his beloved tall warrior hasn’t returned to her Lady yet. He keeps trying to muster up the courage to address Sansa and ask her about Brienne, but every time he gets close to doing so, standing in front of Sansa, he opens his mouth barely muttering a “Bri-” before hurriedly scurrying away. Sansa finally fully understands why Brienne said “And that wildling fellow with the beard…” with a scrunched-up nose (we all know she’s just confused by this sudden romantic attention she’s getting from someone ;]), and finds it rather endearing.  

I’m so sorry that my headcanons are so lame. I wish I was better at creating headcanons. :( But I do like to think that Tormund can’t wait to see Brienne again and being so clumsy about it. (Also tagging @hellyeahayumichan because of the Tarthmund. ♡)
