Rooktail : Black with blue eyes, Bluestar’s grandfather

Daisytoe : grey and white with yellow eyes, Bluestar’s grandmother

Goosefeather : speckled grey with pale blue eyes, Bluestar’s uncle

Moonflower : Silver-gray with dark stripes and pale yellow eyes, Bluestar’s mother

Stormtail : dark-blue-gray with blue eyes, Bluestar’s father

Snowfur : White with gray ears and blue eyes, Bluestar’s sister

Whitestorm : white with yellow eyes, Snowfur’s son

Thistleclaw : dark grey-and-white tabby with amber eyes, Whitestorm’s Father

Bluestar : pale blue-gray with blue eyes,

Oakheart : dark reddish-brown with amber eyes, Bluestar’s fling

Stonefur : pale blue-gray with blue eyes, Bluestar’s Son

Mistystar : pale blue-gray with blue eyes, Bluestar’s daughter

Mosskit : pale gray-and-white with blue eyes, Bluestar’s Daughter

Rainflower : pale grey, Oakheart’s mother

Shellheart : dappled gray, Oakheart’s father

I’m gonna start with the fact that “blue” and “grey” aren’t really different, blue mostly just means gray without any tabby markings or anything and it’s usually breed specific, Silver on the other hand should not be confused with gray, then there is the solid/tabby confusion and the white spotting issue, Also I’m really confused about how Oakheart got that chocolate,

Nothing too off about the top half, we do just have to roll with the assumption that Rooktail carries the dilute gene and he and Stormtail are blue eye dominant, first off Moonflower is not silver, the Silver gene cannot be “silently Carried” you are either silver or you are not, only silver can produce silver and daisytoe is described as gray not silver, so moonflower can be gray or black but she cannot be silver.

secondly, Oakheart probably isn’t a brown tabby, it’s not technically impossible but the whole Appledusk thing is messy and we don’t have any information on Rainflower’s side so I’m calling him gray, it’s not like his genetics make much of an difference, if he wasn’t gray then he wouldn’t have that diluted gene and thus Mistystar and Stonefur could be either gray or black but still no chocolate.

But now I should probably get to Snowfur. that’s not how white spotting works, you know all those “the printer ran out of color” jokes? It works in reverse, Mama ran out of white. Daisy had a little leftover for Moon, and Moon had even less to give to Snow. The same applies to Whitestorm. But there’s still a way to get around this…

So in canon this is what we’re looking at

Jake : ginger tabby with green eyes, father of all eight kits

Quince : Gray tabby with amber eyes, mother of Three,

Nutmeg : brown and white tabby, mother of five,

Tommy : brown and white, child of Nutmeg

Luna : brown and ginger, child of Nutmeg

Filou : light ginger tabby, child of Nutmeg

Princess : light brown tabby, white chest and paws, Green eyes, child of Nutmeg

Rusty/Fireheart : Ginger tabby with green eyes, child of Nutmeg,

Socks : black, white muzzle, paws, and tail tip, with blue eyes, child of Quince,

Ruby : pale gray with Amber eyes, child of Quince,

Tiny/Scourge : Black, one white paw, with blue eyes, child of Quince,

now the first problem here is somewhat obvious to anyone who knows cat genetics yet it is a very common mistake for those new to this, and that is the fact that ginger Males cannot pass the red gene to their sons, as you probably have guessed the red gene is passed through the X chromosome, so in order to have a male ginger kitten the mother must have the red gene. the second issue here is that Tiny/Scourge and Socks have blue eyes, their eye color would have to be somewhere between the mother’s or father’s eye color thus making blue a nearly impossible color

Accurate Jake + Quince Litter

Socks and Tiny/Scourge won’t change much besides their eye colors being either green/Amber, however there is a difference to Ruby’s design, Since Jake is her father he would have passed down the red gene, thus making her a tortoiseshell. Now none of the Kittens would have the Dilution gene to make their coat gray like their mother’s unless Jake is a hidden carrier for the gene, that option was slightly closer to canon and I have a soft spot for diluted Torties so that’s the one I went with of course

Accurate Jake + Nutmeg

I’m assuming by the Names that Tommy is Male, Luna is Female, and I flipped a coin for Filou and landed on Male, So Princess and Luna are both Tortoiseshells, and Tommy, Filou, and Rusty/Fireheart are all brown tabbies, pretty much spitting on the whole connection between the flame colored pelt “fire alone will save the clans” thing right off the bat. Other eye colors are possible as well since we aren’t told Nutmeg’s color I just went with green for simplicity’s sake

However, There is still another alternative to consider which solves the problem of Fireheart not being a realistic ginger
