I will never laugh at that photo of the blonde lady considering naming her child Taylee ever again after seeing this

German brothel in a former synagogue. France, Brest, summer 1940.

A synagogue does seem like an odd place to situate a brothel, even for the Germans; and I have a feeling this is a picture taken by the Germans themselves who wouldn't have been keen to admit that their troops used brothels.
