wrote a little, because obviously i needed to start yet another multi-chapter canon rewrite of an asp show. this one sits very close to my heart.

i love how passionate you are about this incredible pair, and i can see just how much you cherish them and the happy ending they deserved! really, every time i see you’ve shared something new i stop everything to read it… which has given me some trouble during exam seasons but, oh well! please keep up the good work, you are soooo talented. as Taylor would put it: your fics have become a sort of “secret garden in my mind” for when i get tired of everything.

i’ve been planning this message for months trying to gain the courage to send it and it feels so silly now. so excuse me if it’s sappy or anything like that. i’m truly a fan. also im sorry for any grammar mistakes, English isn’t my first language!

first of all, hi bee! it’s very nice to meet you. i think you’re my third ask ever. getting the notification for this made my night. the fact that you took any time at all to message me and that my work has readers that consider themselves fans is genuinely so crazy to me, i don’t think I’ll ever get over it.

i’m notorious for never being the one to message first, even with people i’ve known for years, so trust me i understand working up that specific courage. it’s not silly at all. sappy maybe, but i’m going to be sappy back and say i’m proud of you for hitting send. also, i know it doesn’t really help to say don’t be embarrassed! so i won’t say that. but know you could drop an incomprehensible keysmash or a random emoji in my comment section and i’d still smile when i got the email.

asp being public enemy number one in fandoms that exist because of her is the joke that keeps on giving. i trust my fellow writers with midge and lenny’s story more than her. i don’t know if i ever would’ve come back to writing without these characters though, so i give her a begrudging thank you sometimes. only once a year though. that’s all she deserves.

season five ended and my only thought was i have to fix this. a year later and here we are, not done yet. ychtroml is my first born child, and like with many first borns, they get pushed aside when the second child is born. ywkc has taken over my attention lately, but rest assured ychtroml has her entire future outlined and she won’t be over until midge and lenny are old as hell, i promise. in the meantime, good luck on your final exams!
