Honestly, this is one of my favourite scenes as it's clearly a breaking point for the characters. Sometimes you need to reach the bottom to rise and try better... Well, that's why Was not the Hero resonates with me so much 💔

Philip as the reason to fill my sketchbooks ✨

Honestly really love this scene with stubborn Philip for whom all the food tastes like ashes but still his upbringing doesn't allow him to waste or throw the dish away (such a familiar issue, hah)

I sketched some rough moments of their interaction, so here we are

The fist one is Silas freaking out after facing the fact he's definitely into Philip in a romantic way. Like... A very gay way. In the Middle Ages, gosh

And even more heart breaking moment when these babies of course can't talk it out and just hurt each other 💔

It's funny how each time I'm experimenting with "how to draw characters from beloved universe" I usually come up with canon compliant, realistic and then 'blend them together' styles

While re-reading Chapter 30 by amazing @chiconisroc I was absolutely struck by the moment when Philip had started to open up to Silas during their reading lessons. It hits me so hard to see the glimpse of a person Philip could be if not his traumas and troubled upbringing. So here they are: Philip is babbling some nerdy stuff while Silas just enjoys the view. As it was said, he noticed Philip liked to talk)))

P.S. + additional sketches and SIMPLETON because it was just... Ahaha

Inspired by Was Not The Hero and also canon-compliant with the idea of Hunter feeling conscious without his Golden Guard identity. Totally feel for the guy, as he struggles to find his way through past traumas and navigates his relationship with Philip - @chiconisroc wrote him so well!

Well, I already regret that I’ve started to reread the brick. Simply THAT VERY MOMENT where Valjean cries after the wedding, examining the old things of Cosette. It's so horrible, my God. After everything that had happened to him in life, he pushes himself into the grave. God, man, you had already been buried alive in the monastery, please do not try to repeat it again! It seems to me that he really needs an Inspector to hit his stubborn head with a baton saying TELL ME QUICKLY WHAT’S THE STORY
