AU where Valjean arrives a little later to the Barricades and finds Javert shot by the revolutionaries, but still alive. He unties him and takes him to a doctor.

Headcanon: Javert, for the most part, repairs his own clothes. He may be able to afford a tailor now, but having grown up with almost nothing, he'd still rather not spend the money on a new garment if it's not totally necessary.
