ok well...I was born in the post-Soviet space, so my mom raised me on domestic cartoons. And I absolutely love the weird and unusual experimental animation of the USSR. Suddenly, I had this idea in my head, and I decided to draw tts characters in the style of the Bremen Town Musicians. I know it may seem strange to you, but I wanted to try to draw something that I love in the style of my childhood cartoon. Also, both Rapunzel and The Bremen Town Musicians are fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, so...

They were thieves not terrorists…… Varian was a terrorist. “He did no wrong” literally he has bigger list of crimes than Cass.

“He was grieving and 14.” Okay yes, but he literally tried to kill people.

“He shouldn’t have been put in jail with adults” Well yes. That we can all agree on.

“He didn’t do anything wrong” you and me both know that’s a lie. We can sympathize with him but to say ALL his actions were justified is wrong.

“Cass got to go off scott free while Varian had to be in prison.” So yes and no. Varian broke OUT of prison and never fulfilled his sentence. Cass going free is really something I can’t explain other than agree it’s unfair, sure. Butttttt Cass being Rapunzel’s best friend??? Come on, Rapunzel would never let anything happen to her. Let’s be real, she didn’t have a close enough relationship with Varian yet.

Am I the only one whose eyebrows raise when it comes to how people who commit crimes in Corona are punished? Like, seriously, let's look at them:

1.) Eugene: Stole the crown of the lost princess. He was sentenced to death and almost executed.

2.) Varian: He caused widespread destruction all over the kingdom, kidnapped the Queen, and held her hostage, joined the separatists, and imprisoned Rapunzel. He was only imprisoned for a few years.

3.) Cassandra: She went on a literal rampage, tried to murder Rapunzel, kidnapped Varian to extract information, attempted to murder the captain and Eugene, held Calliope hostage, and led a war against Corona. What does she get? She gets let off and is allowed to leave unpunished.

.......................................WTF?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?

So..................you're telling me that on one hand, Eugene (a harmless, nonviolent criminal) gets the death penalty for petty theft.....................but on the other hand, Cassandra and Varian can stage insurrections and coups, commit literal treason, attempted regicide, kidnapping of a monarch, terrorism, and attempted murder, yet all they get are mere slaps on the wrist?

How does one explain this nonsense? Because this makes absolutely zero sense.

I have got to correct you on something: Eugene did not commit petty theft. Stealing the Crown Jewels is a treasonous offense, and he was already wanted dead or alive before he stole the crown. Him being sent to the gallows after he was caught was actually in line for what was expected by then.

We don't know how long Varian was sentenced for. We know he was in jail for about a year before Rapunzel got back, then he helped save the kingdom from the people he helped to take it over with. However, at this point, Frederic and Arianna were mind wiped and were not in charge of his punishment; Rapunzel was. The same goes for Cassanddra. Rapunzel was in charge of her punishment. And she's clearly in the business of criminal reform, so...
