It'll start subtle at first... lurking and waiting.

You start to imagine what it is I'd tell you to do in some situations...even if I'm not there, you think about what the Queen is telling you to do...you might write it off at this stage...you're already so subservient this is just a natural thought anyone would have. And it's probably not good to scratch that itch on your head anyway.

Your own fluids start to taste a touch sweeter...you catch your mouth tasting ambiently sweet ...is that your own saliva you're tasting? ...must just be residuals of the Queens delicious Honey ...best not to think about it. Thinking is harder lately anyway, and your head's so itchy...and your back is starting to itch now...perhaps it's just the uniforms you've been wearing...

Catch yourself in the mirror...and for a second it's a little unfamiliar... Confusion swirling in your head, did you always have golden eyes? Eye colour isn't something you catch yourself paying attention to anyway...it's hard to think back so far: about how many times you've looked at yourself...it's probably nothing...and are those bumps on your forehead? ...duty calls before you can give it further thought...

It's a little miraculous, those thoughts, imagining what the Queen would tell you to do are always so very accurate...and informed. Sometimes you end up acting on stuff you didn't think you had a way of knowing about...perhaps It was in a meeting you zoned out in? Sometimes the Queens instructions are even a little louder than your own ideas... little more than background noise. But it's probably nothing... besides you've got your wings to keep healthy, how you went so many years without taking care of them is anyones guess.

And then one day you see somebody, they're familiar but uncanny...they don't have pretty wings like you do.

They don't have cute little antenna sprouting from their head to help them hear the Queen like you do

They can't even make their own Honey like you do...it's terrible...

So it's only natural you'd be told by the Queen to hold them down ...to feed them the Honey...

They'll love it...it's so tasty...
