Nearly every unspoken subtext behind those questions boils down to: Do you still care about me?

And every single time, the other person always responds with the subtext says,

“Yeah, I miss you. I still love you.”

I love the scene where Louis asks Lestat to pour blood into his glass.

I think... Lestat likes seeing Louis enjoy his blood. Maybe he thought he didn't like it after so much time.

It's a very potent little thing they share there.

Because Louis had refused Lestat's blood for SO LONG.

Because he had stopped feeding. Because of what happened with Claudia. Because of the separation after. Because of the book.

But Louis loves Lestat's blood. These vampires feel and can read things in the blood. And you betcha there was LOVE in that sip of blood.
