I’ve created something absolutely incomprehensible once again…I’ve been consuming F1 shitpost memes for two weeks straight, so here we are with an F1 AU
I feel like AI translation is going to make my already rambling headcanons sound even more unhinged… but whatever. My understanding of F1 is basically zero, so all the settings are made up and the outfits are also drawn completely from vibes. Please just focus on the tight suits and the pecs, thank you 🙏
❥ hearing your name in their mouth and wishing it meant something more than: “someone I’m comfortable with.”
❥ listening to their rants and heartbreaks, giving them comfort, knowing they’ll never look at you with that same raw need.
❥ telling yourself you’re over them… then hearing their laugh again and realizing you lied.
❥ “would you tell me if you liked someone?” they ask playfully, and you dodge the question so fast you nearly sprain the truth.
❥ they send you a picture of something cute and you feel warm for half a second before remembering it wasn’t sent because of you, just to you.
❥ that moment when you realize they’ll never see you the way you see them, not because you’re unworthy, but because their heart is simply busy loving someone else.
❥ feeling guilty for wanting them, guilty for loving them, guilty for being jealous... guilt layered on longing like a very stupid emotional lasagna.
❥ every time they hug you, you hold on one second too long in your head, but not in reality.
❥✭ the quiet heartbreak of knowing the universe put them in your story… but not as your ending.
❥ loving them softly, silently, like a secret you carry not to burden them, but because letting it out would break you.

✭ smiling at their happiness even when every part of you whispers, that smile will never be for you.
✭ “you’re such a good friend,” they say, and you smile like it didn’t just split your heart like firewood.
✭ giving them advice on how to flirt with someone else, nodding along while your soul leaks out of your ears.
✭ they brush your arm absentmindedly and you spend the rest of the night replaying it like a lunatic while they forget it ever happened.
✭ that sickening mix of joy and dread when they text you first. Joy because it’s them, dread because it’s never what you wish it was.
✭ watching them fall in love with someone else in slow motion, helpless to stop it, unable to look away.
✭ deleting the message you really want to send because you know it crosses the invisible line between “friend” and “something you’re not allowed to be.”
✭ the way your chest tightens when they joke, “who would ever date me?” and you want to scream, me, god, me, but you only laugh.
✭ saving little things you know they like, even though they'll never understand why you remembered.
And yes this one is also built off of bad memory and vibes

In my humble opinion, the crying monster that Luca commands is his brother. I have three (3) pieces of evidence to support this. #1. The fact that it's always crying. Now this could be completely meaningless. But I think it's his brother watching over him in pain from watching him suffer. This would also make sense since he's always protecting him and the people he cares about when he uses his stigma. #2. Luca's bong anomaly for his r card. The card displays 2 sibling (?) cats wrapped up in the same scarf. Now here's the main thing. One of the cats is significantly smaller, showing that it's younger. But Luca is looking for his TWIN brother. So why would that be the anomaly he's bonded with. Wouldn't the cats be the same size? My theory is that his brother hasn't aged a day since he changed into the monster, forever stuck as a child while watching over Luca. #3. Luca's wish. Now we don't actually know what it is, but Luca believes that the demon took his brother as some sort of twisted part of his wish. But what if it didn't? What if it just turned him into a monster everyone but him could see? Anyways that's all I got I just needed to ramble.
OHOH, it's so cool seeing other people theorizing on it, finally! I've had this thought since July of last year... Was the disappearance of his brother a direct consequence of his wish?
Spoilers of Episodes 19 and 20 under the cut!
We can see a correlation in how demons grant their wishes. There seems to be a downside, especially in Kaito's case: Alan got to know how his father died, but probably went on a rampage and killed Dante out of anger; Kaito wanted to make his grandma forget what inconveniences her, including him.
For Luca, is it too strange to assume that Gamigin - or whatever demon he encountered - locked his brother in his stigma, in a completely new form? I mean, if Lucas, for example, wished to protect him the most, what better way of doing so than to give him a body that - probably - cannot be killed?
I always thought the anomaly that protects him is also in the weaker version of the stigma, but it isn't powerful enough to manifest itself. It can't be harmed, as it seems invisible, but it's still there, blocking every attack with its body and shield???? Kind of???
It also isn't completely stationary. The barrier can """hold""" (I guess?) things in the air and be summoned at a distance, too.
Or maybe he wished for a less specific version, like Leo suggested in Episode 2: he would have done anything to protect his loved ones, not only his brother. However, he still got involved somehow.
Or again, maybe it was a completely different thing.
We know for sure that Luca was the one who made a pact, as he confirms it in the story. I wonder if the main cause was an argument between him and his brother, resulting from envy and/or competition between the two, as Danie theorized.
Man, it would be so sad. Imagine you swore to protect the most important person in your life, only for his corporeal form to be stripped and locked in an incantation that only you can chant. And worst of all, we now know that (probably) everyone can see that creature when Luca's stigma is enhanced, but not himself: there's only purple soot after its hands, and the big, red shield stopped Romeo's bullet.
---
If what I've said is at least partially true... How awful would it be for him to realize his brother never truly left his side? That he was with him all along, protecting him from dangers, not the other way around.
Poor guy. I hope they'll drop his backstory soon! Only time will know. Maybe I've only said a bunch of bull***t out of my delusions, haha! (I also hope it was readable. I proofread it, but English is not my first language, and I don't really know how to use Tumblr yet haha)
Well, some points in this aged spectacularly, but some things were shown in the new Episode that still have me thinking.
As always, spoilers for Episode 24 are down below!
How did the monster manifest itself without the Sage Ring's influence? I'm sure at this point it's confirmed that it has this form permanently, and the only thing the ring enhances is the size (and the endurance, perhaps?) of the shield and the fact that the anomaly can appear to everyone besides Luca himself (if he has a stable mental state).
Stigmas are influenced by the user's mind. It would make sense if the anomaly lost its control as soon as he snapped (well, duh. Jin said that). Luca received a strict mental training that he's still currently practicing (meditation, for example). It's probably thanks to this that the monster is invisible and, mayhaps, weaker normally. However, this is not the first time he has been like this.
Could the swords (and their eerie haze) that react to blood (we're not sure if they respond to his own or others' blood as well) have influenced his and the anomaly's reaction? Well, it was full of Kaito's blood everywhere (even on Luca's hands), and it seemed relevant to the other times it had happened.
Is it too strange to assume the twin swords are partially connected to the monster? I doubt it, but you never know. I hope Season 2 can at least clear this up. I want Luca's backstory, goddamnit.
Little disclaimer: this is very opinionated, and I say it as a Mortkranken fan who has Luca as her favorite character. I disliked Jin's character development (or must I say... decline. After all, involution is still considered a consequence of natural selection in science — and so, a type of evolution in itself) throughout the entirety of Season 1, but I wanted to try to organize all the thoughts I had in mind after the emotional rollercoaster that was the finale.
I'm curious about what you think, too, especially considering the subjectivity of my approach in this failed attempt at an objective analysis. Don't hesitate to tell me everything that doesn't sit right with you!! I must add that English is not my first language, so I apologize if some — or the majority — of my points aren't written clearly. I would really appreciate constructive criticism on the matter!
(Especially if I mischaracterized some of the characters along the way :C)
This was written with the assumption that the fruits on Towa's tree represented each House, instead of the single characters. It could be totally wrong (and invalidate that part of the essay, HMMM), but I could only speculate on the matter without giving a conclusive answer, for now.
That said, let's cut the chatter. Heavy spoilers for Episode 24 under the cut!!
It's quite poetic how Frostheim won the Gala, and yet, it's one of the Houses that is more devoid of collaboration and trust between comrades. And I think a lot of it — but not all — is Jin's fault. One of the few times they worked as a glimpse of a team was in Episode 1. We saw improvements in Jin's mental health; however, after Episode 13, everything was already bound to fail, in my opinion.
If they had approached the problem together, I'm not saying they could have prevented the tragedy, but the outcome would have definitely been different. If only Jin had told the other two his suspicions, they wouldn't have been late, nor would Kaito have chosen to use the arm while MC was suffering.
I can't even blame the blondie that much. She was in extreme pain, after all. Nonetheless, would he have stuck to the promise to use the arm to break her curse if he weren't alone?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Luca was familiar with the Monkey's Paw: he recognized it as soon as he finally saw it, but it was too late. Jin and Tohma wouldn't have had to call the Institute to confirm the existence of an anomaly that wasn't even native to Japan, thanks to him. Kaito could have notified everyone, since he had it at some point, but he didn't out of fear and doubt.
Tohma banning Luca and Kaito from even getting involved in the situation in the first place, while he and Jin worked alone on that same case, was a bad move, yet I understand it. He knows how those two are: one too keen on his habit of jumping into action without really thinking about it, and one so stuck in his overthinking that he's too scared to act.
Still, why treat them like children instead of companions that could have sped up the process? To protect them, perhaps? How can a child know a lesson if there's no parent to guide them? Through mistakes. And this one was, unfortunately, fatal.
I'm aware the captain and vice-captain permitted them to investigate by themselves later on... But wouldn't it be better if they moved together? Just like the towers in airports help pilots navigate through take-off safely? It was clear that Tohma didn't trust them enough to let them get involved, considering the past missions. And Jin refused to share his thought process with them, despite having confidence in Luca's strength.
The lack of communication was a problem. The fact that everyone was in the wrong place at the wrong time, without answering to messages while everything unfolded, was a problem. I believe Jin's genius and capability of figuring out everything on his own, aided only by Tohma's help, was his own condemnation. It may have worked as a Deus Ex Machina during the doomed fate of the Malveaux family, or the Faceless anomalies emergency, but all chickens come home to roost eventually.
And of course, their fruit was the first one to fall and die: if they had loved each other enough, it wouldn't have withered in the first place.
Kaito's death was the climax, when every unresolved issue had its awful repercussions.
Starting with Kaito himself, he tried to be the hero of the tale. He wanted to save MC from her curse because he knew he could do it. He finally had friends and money, and he hoped he could help MC so they could live a normal life together.
As his grandma said, he had to pave the way for his own destiny... so that for once, he could make the right decision, without running away.
He gave MC his mercy and salvation, but it led to his own (and Darkwick's) downfall. He didn't give her a happy ending, though, quite the contrary. Kaito shouldn't have fulfilled that role: it was never his to begin with. ]
As for Luca, I've always imagined him growing up with only his family and his twin, shut away in his home, trying to be the perfect heir his father wanted. He told us how he has never had many friends, and no one came close to what Kaito and MC were to him.
So, of course, when he once again failed to protect someone he could think of as more than a mere friend (a brother, perhaps?), he had a meltdown.
By not giving anyone mercy or forgiveness anymore, which are two profound acts of love, and starting to kill everyone regardless of their allegiance, he may have contributed to the fruit's death or shrinking. ]
I know Jin's troubles. He had a lot of bad experiences, regarding relying on others that continued to ruin his trust (even Tohma himself, from his point of view). He's probably suffering from mental illnesses himself. It's rough. I can't even comprehend how difficult it is for people who have gone through the same (my heart goes out to them).
But shutting everyone out while refusing to get help is not how you heal from it, unfortunately. And the thing that pains me the most is that he tried to seek support by removing the soundproof anomaly, but it was too late. Once. Again. He didn't try to stop the ineluctable situation: he just lit a cigarette and gave up. He is the best captain Frostheim would ever have: just not in this state. ]
Tohma was the trickiest one for me to analyze. He clearly cares a lot about Jin and MC, and even the Chaos Combo. However, his own tendency to work in the shadows for a greater good, not only by himself, but with Alan too, was a breaking point in the story. He tried to make Jin lean on him again. He wanted his forgiveness, despite everything.
The ex-Vagastrom clearly carried a lot on his shoulders, but maybe the things he couldn't disclose were the ones that contributed to the ending. Maybe if he had more faith in others, he could have prevented Kaito's death. Who knows. Poor Tohma. I'm sure he had his reasons not to. ]
For instance, if I remember correctly, the only fruit that showed signs of improvement during the story was Vagastrom's. And for a good reason: in every mission they took part in, they tried their best (well, emphasis on tried) to be team "players". Hell, even Leo was so keen on stopping Alan from wandering off, because it was better if they just stuck together (Episode 19). Sadly, the fruit wilted as soon as Sho began to secretly work for Hyde.
Ring a bell? Once again, secrets after secrets.
They couldn't love each other fully, it's obvious. That's why the tree was bound to die. And the Monkey's Paw (and whoever brought it to Darkwick) had to underline how you must never play with fate. This specific outcome was inevitable, given these circumstances.
----
On the other hand, it's even wrong to say Frostheim's ghouls are incapable of teamwork.
Heck, how amazing was the end of Episode 1 or 20? Where those four united their strengths not only to successfully save every child in Mr. Long-Leg's mansion, but to retrieve the Hringhorni AND seal the Rinfone on an island?
Maybe the writers wanted to emphasize that even the best of the best fall short if they don't trust each other enough to build a strong relationship based on mutual reliance; to build a strong Philia. How can you do that if you close most of the doors, hoping the dogs will obey blindly?
In conclusion, it was a disaster. It was unfortunate. And it was a shame. Frostheim could have genuinely been a dream squad, but I guess in life, you have to learn things the hard way.
And that's okay: it's not like people should know everything about you. Knowing when to stop talking or keep secrets is a mature trait that is preferred to have every day. However, as Luca likes to say, balance is crucial. Both extremes can lead to mistakes, which become life lessons.
Yet, one mistake too many, one moment gone forever, and the delicate card house you carefully put up falls... without learning anything else.
This was their first failed mission, and it was catastrophic.
—
Phew! I hope it didn't sound like a thoughtless rant. ;v;
I'm sure a lot of the points I brought could be applied to other Houses as well.
The finale made me cry big fat tears, and, unlike most people, I would really like to see how they can play around with time loops.
I'm afraid I'm a sucker for them, but they have to be written properly, nonetheless.
I'm done yapping now. Thank you so much for reading!!! I hope you enjoyed it, even in the slightest; that would really be an honor for me. MWAH MWAH
I was randomly looking around some old episodes to find hidden clues about what could be wrong in the prophecy (my first thought was that the recording was not complete, but I dunno), and I stumbled upon this.
I'm not sure they are talking about the same arm (prolly not /ref), but it's surely a funny coincidence, especially considering she found those posts before reading the one about the Kudan's prophecy.
If you wanna read it, it's in Episode 14, Chapter 17.

I’m Saja from Gaza… and this is my story under war
My name is Saja. I’m a woman from Gaza, married, and a mother to a little girl who still doesn’t understand why we don’t have bread or why we live in constant darkness.
I used to study online, hoping to build a better future for my family. But the war has taken that away.
The internet is gone. Electricity is unstable. And now, even food has started disappearing from our homes.
Flour is incredibly scarce, and prices are unbelievably high.
We wait in long lines, hoping for just a small bag of flour—and often leave with nothing.
Everything has become a struggle... even the simplest things: bread, clean water, and safety.
We try to stay strong, to hold onto the little we have, but life in Gaza today needs a miracle.
I write these words with a heavy heart—not seeking pity, but because I truly need your help.
I just want to continue my education, provide food for my daughter, and protect the little hope I have left.
Your presence, your support—even a kind word—means the world to us.
Every donation, every share, every prayer makes a real difference in my life.
My name is Saja. I am a mother, a wife, and just one of many women in Gaza trying to hold on — to hope, to my family, and to a life that no
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who sees us, supports us, or simply prays for us.You are our only light in this darkness.
🏙️ “Is this your first time in Lumiose? First time in years you say?! Well… a lot HAS changed so why I don’t show you around as a tour guide? There’s TONS to do in the city I hope you’ll love it here” 🎶
I think that Subaru would have a deep liking and connection with Pokémon that are generally deemed scary or unliked by the public (or whatever Pokédex says) kinda relating how he advocates for anomalies so I decided to give him more “frightening” Pokémon
The oricorio tho just fit his vibe
And yes mimikyuu is his emotional support and no1 supporter
