Not having sex isn't shameful or a sign of failure. It also doesn't make anyone boring.

You are not entitled to having sex with anybody and nobody is entitled to having sex with you.

Sex is not what makes someone an adult.

Nobody's worth is defined by how much sex they have or don't have.

Sex is not equally important to everyone.

You can have fulfilling and happy relationships without sex.

You should only have sex on your own terms, not because you feel like you owe it to someone, or because you feel like you'd be incomplete without it.

Know your boundaries around sex and be firm about them. Know how to respect other people's boundaries.

The previous point also applies when it comes to discussing sex. If someone doesn't wanna talk about it or hear about it you have to back down.

And like- obviously not.

...when both parties actually WANT to do the transaction and thought it through fully.

Blitzo's agreement was rushed, they didn't actually have enough time to negotiate anything because Blitzo was on a mission and Stolas knew that because he was watching him.

It'd be one thing if Stolas had just coincidentally called and didn't know what was happening so you could give him SOME form of benefit of the doubt, but even then, Blitzo was clearly annoyed and didn't actually get to fully think through what he agreed to. So there'd still be a level of dubious consent.

Also there's this extra layer of unhealthy dynamic when it comes to how Blitzo's business is dependent on this transactional sex (at least until he gets that crystal). Like not only is that bad business, that quite literally keeps him employed 😭

OK so I made a post about this I think a few months ago but I’m back because I have my thoughts more in order this time and I recently saw somebody bring up Asmodeus’s “hypocrisy” and I wanted to get my thoughts out here again.

The point of the song house of Asmodus is not “look at you Stolas you’re sleeping with an imp how embarrassing” it’s “do not bring a love song to a sex club” The reason he brought Stolas into it, was not to say “look at you, sleeping with a lowly imp” Wally Wackford was the one who brought up the imp thing. Asmodeus said “how the mighty do fall” because Stolas is throwing away his life, his reputation, and his family to have an affair, Evidenced by “you sold your life for a thrust, now that’s the spirit of lust.”

say what you want about Ozzie having an actual relationship, but he wasn’t the one who was toting around his love. He was offering a service, and Moxxie was trying to pervert that service. Evidenced by “you singing love songs in my lustful lounge? Ozzie's ain’t the place for sentimental sounds! What do you expect from a proprietor like us?”

He knows what people want, and he isn’t shoving his love for Fizz down their throats. That doesn’t make him a hypocrite, It makes him a businessman!

like, Catra not knowing what a party is is seen as sad and adorable, but Adora not knowing what it is is considered her being stupid.

Catra having a rough day, low on sleep, and treating others like shit because of it is seen as accurate mental health rep, but Adora having a rough day, low on sleep, and not treating others like shit because of it is seen as her being goofy.

Catra being victimized by literally anyone is seen as an angsty moment that shows how vulnerable she is, but Adora being victimized by literally anyone ( including Catra ) is seen as her "just being xyz" or "homoerotic tension".

Catra being awful to everyone is seen as an accurate victim, but Adora being awful to herself is seen as a "pretty" victim.

Catra physically abusing Adora at every turn is seen as a hot villain moment, but Adora giving her a taste of her own medicine is seen as abusive.
