How the regimentation and monitoring of meals and weight of the Stormtrooper cadets almost undoubtedly are giving him issues with food, eating and weight. That he’s used to having only certain time of the day designated for eating and that anyone who wasn’t done had the food removed, so when presented with food outside those times he might be uncomfortable eating and may refuse to.

Like at Maz’s when Rey is stuffing her face, Finn isn’t eating at all and doesn’t appear to have been at any point. Maybe because to him it’s not a designated time for eating and therefore he shouldn’t be, so he doesn’t whether he’s hungry or not.

And how not only were he constantly berated and punished in the First Order for caring about someone he considered a friend, but then the Resistance does the exact same thing to him for the same reason. How would that affect how he sees them? What does he feel about trusting them with someone he considers a friend after TLJ, if this is how he’s treated? Does he see them as being ideologically different than the First Order but in modus operandi they’re essentially the same and is that something he can get behind in the longer term? Or will his treatment result in him parting ways with the Resistance?

Speaking of that. How will this influence his ability to trust new people he meets. He clearly trusts Poe, he’s the one he goes to with his plan, not as one might note, Holdo or any other higher ranking officer in the Resistance. This hints that Finn does not as a whole trust the Resistance or thinks them benign, his trust of Poe is on a personal level.

But having been met with this abuse and punishment for caring about and wishing to protect a friend outside of the First Order, will that be something then that makes Finn withdraw his trust in others in general? Make him less open than he were with Poe, Rey and Han (and Chewie) now that he’s been shown that the good guys aren’t really any different than the bad guys.
