âWhat are you looking at? Itâs a nice hat.â
Season 4, Episode 17 â The Box
See me- Anakin finds out who it is that Obi was talking about in the last chapter.
Nuzzling the other one last time before he left the quarters, Anakin favored Obi-Wan with a soft smile that faded once his omega had closed the door behind him. Only then did he allow himself to practically collapse onto his couch to run his fingers through his hair in agitation he hadnât wanted to show Obi-Wan, conflict and denial in his throat and curling in his belly.
And betrayal.
Sheev Palpatine had been the one to expose the omegas to danger.
Obi-Wan had sussed it out while at the Senate and had found undeniable proof which he had handed over to the Council and Anakin had sensed no lie in Obi-Wan. The other firmly believed what heâd told the council and his shock over the person behind the plot had triggered a stress heat.
There was nowhere Anakin could hide from the truth as Obi-Wan saw it and that meantâŚ
âIt means that someone I thought I could trust with my very life set the omegas of the Jedi order in danger. Almost got them captured by slavers and pirates. Force some of them were under fifteen, they would have been broken in and given to brothels⌠sold at auctions for high price to private sadistic men and women.â
His breath hitched at the thought, thinking of Obi-Wan, his pretty, powerful mate in a collar, eyes on the floor and a broken slump to his shoulders as he was chained to a bedpost and was unable to leave the room he was in, essentially a cage for the redhead.
The image was horrifying, it made Anakin want to vomit because Obi-Wan wasnât young, he would have gone to the brothel for a pretty sum even though he was a Jedi and redhead. Or if he went into private hands it would be to someone who had particular interests for him, someone who may have forced kits on Obi-Wan and hurt him and-
With shaking hands Anakin covered his face.
That was what Sheev Palpatine had almost caused to happen, that was the danger he had put the omegas in.
Not just Obi-Wan but the children.
Because some of them werenât mentally aware and developed enough to be called anything but children as they giggled in delight as Master Windu showed them âmagicâ tricks. And even that Anakin wouldnât have believed if he hadnât seen it, Windu playfully making a coin appear from behind the ear of a zabrak omega who had giggled in utter delight and accepted the coin when the master had offered it to him with a soft smile.
It made him wonder if the Korun had found himself a new padawan despite it being war⌠or maybe that was why he hadnât taken the boy on, because of said war and he didnât want to drag him out onto the field even though the little zabrak followed him around like a duckling when he could.
Force knew that Anakin worried about Ahsoka who was Plo Koonâs padawan but she at least was older and always kept under fierce guard by the Wolfpack who adored her and Plo.
âAnd that kid could have ended up in pirates hands because of the Chancellorâs actions.â Anakin let his head fall back against the couch, staring at the ceiling with his fingers rubbing at his scalp in an attempt to calm himself, quiet growls escaping him.
Someone he thought he could trust, someone he called a friend had tried to get the omegas in trouble and Anakin wanted to know why. With that in mind he got up to go and speak to the council and offer up his own personal insight on the Chancellor.
After all, he was often in the office and that could be valuable to them⌠hopefully.
âIf I canât get it out of the council, maybe Qui-Gon will be able to suss out some information.â He hoped as he pulled on his boots and went to confront them.
Could we see some more templeheart? Maybe with some more quiobi fluff?
Ignoring the amusement and surprise on Qui-Gonâs face, Obi-Wan got to his feet as Anakin continued standing there with his blankets in his arms and a begging expression on his face as he continued staring at his dad. âAlright, alright, I can see youâre not going to go to bed unless I give in.â He stated with some amusement to show he wasnât cross and took the blankets from Anakin, ignoring the little gleeful cheer as he made his way to the fresher.
He took note of Qui-Gon following curiously but ignored it as he knelt down in front of the dryer and tucked the blankets into the machine and after a moment of consideration, threw in a fresh sheet and turning the dryer on short cycle.
When Qui-Gon had joined him for a late cup, Obi-Wan had hoped that Anakin would take the hint and not come to wheedle but oh well, kids would be kids and Obi-Wan would never deny Anakin comfort since he knew how much just little things could mean in the great big galaxy.
Finally he looked at the Jedi, meeting the curious and amused eyes and raised eyebrow. âYes?â Obi-Wan said in a dignified voice.
âSomething you do often?â Qui-Gon chuckled softly, petting Anakinâs head as the eight year old leaned against the Jediâs hip and peered sleepily at both adults.
Smiling a bit, Obi-Wan shrugged. âHe likes warm sheets and its not a hardship to set it on the short cycle just to heat them and thereâs something unique about the smell of the fresh sheet when you wrap up it it, a comfort to Anakin.â He hummed.
âSmells clean.â Anakin yawned, making a happy little squeaking noise when Qui-Gon rubbed gently at his scalp with big fingertips, closing his eyes as he leaned even more on the man.
Eyes watching the two softly, Obi-Wan smiled. âYes, clean⌠and he sleeps better.â He shrugged.
Letting out an understanding noise, Qui-Gon continued petting until the sheets were done, Anakin jumping a bit at the beep before accepting an armful of comfy warm blankets that had him scuttling back to his bedroom, calling out a âgood nightâ over his shoulder.
Both adults watched the door for a moment before Obi-Wan chuckled softly, smiling when that got him a questioning look from Qui-Gon. âHe usually also has me tumble dry his soft snake plushie but I think because youâre here, he didnât bring it as he doesnât want others to know he still has a bed plushie.â He admitted, standing and brushing down his shirt and pants. âHe likes to say heâs a big boy.â Obi-Wan smiled softly.
Humming at that, Qui-Gon smiled. âEveryone needs a bed companion now and then.â He said lightly, pretending not to notice the flush of Obi-Wanâs cheek as they returned to the couch where their spiked tea were waiting on them, steam still rising from the amber colored liquid.
Sitting down, Obi-Wan took a sip of his tea only to freeze as Qui-Gon slowly trailed his fingertips along his spine in a soothing motion.
âTell me if Iâm reading this all wrong Obi-Wan, tell me if Iâve been reading our interactions the last few months incorrect.â Qui-Gon murmured quietly from beside him. âI would not risk our friendship but I feel like thereâs more to our time together so tell me if Iâm seeing things that arenât there, getting the wrong signals.â The older man asked softly with his deep brogue.
Letting out a shaking breath, Obi-Wan put his cup down to slowly slide himself under the others arm, peering up to meet Qui-Gonâs blue, inquisitive eyes. âYouâre not reading things badly or wrong but⌠I have Anakin, I have to take this slow.â He said quietly, admitting that there was more than friendship happening in their relationship.
âSlow is good.â Qui-Gon replied quietly, free hand coming up to stroke Obi-Wanâs cheek. âBut may I ask if I could steal a kiss?â He asked hopefully.
Instead of verbally answering, Obi-Wan leaned up a bit which encouraged Qui-Gon to lean down in return, their lips meeting in an exploratory, chaste kiss that tasted of spiked tea with their noses bumping as they found their fit.
It had both of them smiling when they pulled back, both pink cheeked but happy as they curled together on Obi-Wanâs couch.

Vader in time- Obi begins to question Anakin and begins to realize that there is darkness around Ani
âSo heâs been training with you?â Obi-Wan questioned with no small amount of relief, taking a sip of tea as he watched the grandmaster.
Inclining his head, Mace took a large sip of his own. âIndeed, that is why you have been sensing darkness around him. I do admit I should have come to you first to ask you for permission, as his master and al-â
Obi-Wan cut him off, shaking his head with a warm smile on his face. âNo, no thatâs fine. Anakin is an adult, he can take lessons from whoever he wants though Iâm surprised you took him on. Your⌠dislike of each other isnât exactly hidden.â Obi-Wan rubbed his chin a bit, watching the other.
Mace seemed to color a bit before he sighed. âI will admit I have been cautious about Skywalker but he is proving himself⌠and maybe the Council was unfair when Qui-Gon first presented him at the age of nine. We should have worded ourselves better as to not scare him.â He said.
Blinking a bit, Obi-Wan sat back before sighing. âMost likely but I canât claim to be better than any of you were at the tim-â
âYou have nothing to say sorry about except to perhaps Skywalker.â Mace scowled. âIf anyone should have apologized that day it was Qui-Gon because it was clear to everyone he sprung the idea of your knighthood on you without prior warning.â Mace huffed, face set in a stern grimace.
To that Obi-Wan had nothing to say as he took a sip before he started smiling fondly into it. âPerhaps but I wonât regret that it lead me to Anakin. It has been my deepest pleasure to teach him.â He said softly. âHe may have been the reason I managed to get out of bed in the morning after Qui-Gonâs death.â Obi confessed quietly to Mace.
There was a quiet noise and then Mace reached out, settling his hand on Obi-Wanâs wrist. âI wonât tell you that its unjedi like nor not to grieve, Yoda does not understand humans despite having padawans, we need to let our emotions be felt but not hide from them. So Iâm glad he was a comfort to you my friend.â Mace rumbled out.
Humming softly, Obi-Wan peered at the other from under his lashes before smiling a bit at him. âThank you for listening to my worries Mace, youâve become a good friend to me and I find myself appreciating what youâve given me.â
Chuckling a bit, Mace squeezed his wrist and threw in a mischievous wink. âAh, we all have padawan trouble now and then, Iâll be happy to lend you my ear between council meetings and other duties.â He confided.
Chuckling at that, Obi-Wan nodded, taking a sip. âIf Iâm lucky, Anakin will soon be a knight.â He beamed proudly.
()()()
Watching in no little confusion at the happy whistle of the other, Anakin tilted his head a bit. âIâm sorry if Iâm being nosy master but you seem a lot happier today than yesterday.â He noted, feeling a sense of relief in his bones as Obi-Wan had spent the last week studying him with a concerned look in his eyes.
âHmm? Oh! I donât mind you asking. I just had tea with Mace is all and he soothed some worries I were having. You should have told me that Master Windu was teaching you the vaapad though.â Obi-Wan smiled proudly at him, pausing in his food preparation to give Anakin his attention.
Outwardly calm, Vader felt his mind throwing itself into a panicked fit at the implication that gave him.
Obi-Wan had sensed darkness and Windu had covered for Anakinâs misstep.
He gave a bashful shrug and moved closer to the redhead. âI am still in the basic of it and Master Windu is unsure if I can handle the vaapad honestly though we are making progress at the moment. Its quite demanding.â Vader said in an airy tone.
Obi-Wan placed his hand on his padawans shoulder and smiled softly at him, a proud glimmer in his eyes that shone brighter than any gem in the galaxy. âRegardless, I am proud of you Anakin. Youâve come so marvelously along and I foresee the great Jedi you will become.â He said tenderly.
Uncertain as he was, those words still made Anakin smile to Obi-Wan, warmth glowing in his stomach from the happiness it brought him. He was making Obi-Wan proud.
Can we have a Quiobi version of the hanaki disease? With Obi in love with Qui and trying to hide it? And either like happy ending they get together or sad ending with the phantom menace and Qui dying and Obi refusing to have the flowers removed and thus dying to join his master. Maybe with some ghost!Qui welcoming into the force?
He never meant to fall in love.
Obi-Wan knew that falling in love could be of horrible consequences of him as every Stewjoni man or woman knew.
Because any Stewjoni human knows that they risk contacting hanahaki if the emotions are not returned, flowers symbolizing the one they love growing in their lungs.
And as he coughs up blue petals on the ride to Naboo in the fresher of the ship taking them to the Trade Federation, Obi-Wan quietly laments that he is a horrible Jedi, falling in love not once and not twice but thrice now though the other two times had been returned or to much a puppy love to be true love.
This time however, this time its proper love, felt from the barest bottom of his soul and its not returned.
âHow could it be?â Obi-Wan stared at the soft blue petals still in his hand and scattering the sink. âQui-Gon only ever loved master Tahl, who am I to replace her of all people?â He thought tiredly. He will not remove the flowers from his lungs, not when it means removing all he feels for Qui-Gon.
Somehow, and heâs not sure how, the events of the mission unfolds in such a way that they find the âchosen oneâ thought the jury is still out on that one Obi-Wan feels, find the sith long thought extinct still exist and Obi-Wan attains his knighthood.
And hey, he doesnât have to lose his master and secret love to do it.
Yet he feels like he has as he quietly steps aside for the boy and becomes a mere shadow in his masterâs life and keeps the secret of coughing soon bloodied petals up from his lungs and the emotions in his chest.
The thing about a secret is that eventually it demands to be heard.
And hanahaki is vocal about its secrecy.
Ironically enough, heâs been feeling good for the last few days, minor coughing fits and petals even if they are bloodied and feel raw in his chest and throat.
So he had agreed to Reeft request of sparring, following his age mate to the sparring halls and working out until sweat rolled down his forehead, sporting only his inner tunics which clung to his body from the sweat.
It had been going to swimmingly until heâd noticed Qui-Gon, the man moving into the halls with Anakin tucked to his side, the boy looking more excited then when Obi-Wan had shown him how to work the water taps at the temple.
And then basically everything went tits up.
The cough laced his spine and then he bucked over, hands cupped protectively over his mouth as a massive fit overtook him and too many petals to contain left his mouth into the bowl of his hands.
His legs buckled beneath him as he grew woozy from the lack of air and he felt Reeft kneel down by him and hold onto his shoulders even as more and more petals scattered onto the sparring mat.
By the time it ends, he can feel that its no longer Reeft holding him up but far larger and more familiar hands as he stares at the mess of ocean blue petals coated in blood.
Roses have thorns.
And the winter roses that grows in his lungs have come far enough to have them.
Slowly he drops the crimson coated petals in his hands and looks up, meeting Qui-Gonâs wide blue eyes as the man holds him up. âAs blue as oceansâŚâ

Obi-Wan drinking that tea and aggressively minding his own business
I distinctly remember drawing this like 3-4 days after the Last Jedi premiere: everyone was ARGUING about TLJ and I was kinda tired of it, so I went and hid in the Clone Wars side of the fandom forever for a while lol
As much as I want to see warriorculture proceed with obi-wan on mandalore as long as possible... I'd also love to see a situation where jango is visiting the senate and gets jealous/possessive at somebody else flirting or checking obi-wan out
There is a thin line heâs threading, a thin line between being too obvious and being just enough the Duke of Mandalore to be intimidating in the Republic Senate to ensure they know their place should they act against them or try to short hand them yet not being obvious enough so everyone knows just how much he favors one Jedi in particular.
Obi-Wan had warned him of this, had mentioned this to Jango while in his bed.
âWhen Iâm in the Senate Iâm not⌠me. Iâm Knight Kenobi and that not the real me. Thatâs a performance with all eyes on me.â He had murmured while running his hand up and down Jangoâs side with his eyes focused on his chest, the hand slowly sliding to tease stiff chest hair curls. âWhen Iâm in the Senate Iâm not myself and I dance to their tune and play their game as if I belong there when all I want to do is to flee even as I engage with slimy politicians.â He had grimaced.
Jango hadnât understood what the other had meant, only knew that he had to wipe that look off Obi-Wanâs face which he had managed quite capably, yet he hadnât understood what the other had meant with those words.
Now he knew.
When Obi-Wan was in the Senate he played the senators own game and danced the tune of their song with his own steps to distract and charm them, to sooth fraying tempers and get them to give up the resources he needed.
Basically?
Obi-Wan was flirting and charming the Senators, wrapping them around his fingers like strands of silk twining slowly.
In some ways it was twisting Jango up in ways he had no idea he could feel for someone but he had long ago come to realization that Obi-Wan was it for him.
Just it.
There would be no other then Obi-Wan for him come hell or heaven.
There was jealousy wrecking his mind of course but there was also a slight sort of awe because seeing Obi-Wan like this meant that Obi-Wan utterly showed his vulnerable spots to Jango, showed his true self to the Duke.
And wasnât that enough to make him melt despite his jealousy.
And he knew that despite Obi-Wan playing his part as he called it, he didnât show these people that side, that side where he laughed joyfully as Jango feet him desserts or curled against Jango like an affectionate feline in search of petting while reading.
Eventually Obi-Wan managed to free himself from his conversation and sidled towards the Duke waiting by the pillar, a half smile on his face but light in his eyes and Jango let out a soft breath he hadnât been aware he was holding when the other finally stopped in front of him. âDuke Fett, its an unexpected pleasure to see you again so soon and on Coruscant of all places.â The Jedi knight greeted.
Pushing himself from the pillar, Jango loosely crossed his arms over his chest with a small smirk. âJust protecting my peopleâs interest as you well know Knight Kenobi.â He practically purred, content to feel the Senators send him wary glances as long as Obi-Wanâs eyes were full of that light directed at Jango.
Vader's Kitty. So can we please see a scene where someone, maybe Bail, attempts to liberate Obi-Wan, take him away. Only to be shocked when Obi-Wan refuses and only runs back to Vader's side like a good kitty. Obi-Wan's old friend doesn't understand the degree of Stockholm Syndrome he has.
Cocking his head a bit, Obi-Wan watched the distant smoke from the window with a far away sort of curiosity he never quite could get rid of though then again Anakin did call him his kitty for a reason so perhaps it was just as well.
He knew that Anakin was at the place, investigating the potential accident or sabotage that had happened to an Imperial plasma factory and since it was Imperial and part of the weaponry of the Empire, Darth Vader himself was in charge of the investigation.
So it was a shock that the door swished open behind him since no one other then Anakin was allowed to enter the rooms anymore and it was not one of the scheduled meal times so it couldnât be one of the droids.
It was Bail, the man standing there with relief on his face when he took note of Obi-Wan standing in front of the window. âWe need to go quickly.â The senator said, stepping into the room and around the opulent bed quickly to catch the former Jedi by the arm and pull him into the hall.
Confused and a bit overwhelmed, Obi-Wan allowed it even as the hairs on the back of his neck stood and his ears stiffened as the bell of his collar jingled all too merrily. âGo?â He mewled out, taking note at how Bail seemed to half flinch.
âGo, we need to go. We need to get you off Coruscant while Vader is busy.â Bail told him, glancing around the corner before pulling Obi-Wan along wit ha tight grip on his arm.
ButâŚ
âB-Bail wait! I donât want to leave.â Obi-Wan jerked his arm away, stopping with his ears pinned down and back as he stared at the other man.
The other man came to an abrupt stop, turning to stare at Obi-Wan before his eyes filled with pity. âObi-Wan, this isnât good. We need to get you away from him or yo-â
Whatever Bail was about to say Obi-Wan never discovered because the door suddenly flung open, hitting the floor instead of opening like normal and framed in the doorway was a seething Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan had been low level sending his distress out into the Force and there was one thing the former Jedi turned Sith knew how to do, it was to pilot a fucking speeder as fast as he could once he knew something was wrong.
Red filled the hall with bright light. âGet.away.from.him.â Vader hissed.
Obi-Wan stood still even as Bail slowly pressed against the wall with his hands held up in plain sight for the Sith to see.
âI wasnât sure what to think about the bomb⌠I imagine you did not plant it nor would you approve of it but you saw your shot did you notâŚâ Vader hissed as he stepped into the hall, moving towards them. âI will give you one warning Senat-â
What warning he wanted wasnât finished just like Bail never finished his sentence because Obi-Wan suddenly moved, jerking forward until he hit the Sithâs chest, pressing his face into the others armor and purring quietly while latching onto the other man for comfort.
Vader held the blade to the side so not to harm his kitten, giving a quiet croon in response while tucking his free arm around the other mans waist in a possessive embrace.
As Bail watched he realized that whatever Obi-Wan had been beforeâŚ
The former Jedi would not leave Darth Vaderâs side.
âObi-Wan still tried, now and again, to spark a real smile in his former padawan. And Anakin still tried to answer.
They both still tried to pretend the war hadnât changed them.â

Have you seen the bad batch at all?
A rather classic and iconic creation..
The Bad Batch being the sequel and spin-off of The Clone Wars, it seems obvious that the creators have kept most of the characteristics of the series and more globally of the franchise. Already in its form, it uses the 3D animation of The Clone Wars. This is not surprising when you know that the prolific Dave Filoni is once again producing. However, he has given the place of a isowrunner to Jennifer Corbett, an American writer who has already worked on NCIS. If this style of animation could discourage the neophytes, the fans of the previous series should be rather satisfied with the result. Stamped with Star Wars, the series The Bad Batch is very logically conferred with an important heritage, to which it admirably pays tribute.
Indeed, we find all the mechanics that already worked in the previous creations of the franchise. From the iconic fade-in transitions to the epic music, everything is done so that the series is part of a lineage that will touch several generations of fans of the saga. We find the same composer as in The Clone Wars, namely Kevin Kiner. The score perfectly accompanies the tone of each scene and is a real asset for the series. We can therefore speak of a success in terms of transmission of the classic and iconic spirit of the previous Star Wars creations.
As a pale redhead, I'd love to see Obi-Wan spending a day in the sun... and coming back to the temple covered in freckles. Qui-Gon thinks it's adorable(not that he's going to tell his Padawan that)
ââŚOw.â Obi-Wan shuffled a bit, hood pulled up to shadow his face as much as he could and Qui-Gon struggled against the laugh that wanted to bubble out of his throat.
âJust keep rubbing the bacta and aloe vera mix Obi-Wan, its the best we can do for you right now.â He offered, tone light but obviously his padawan could hear something in his tone because the sunburned face tilted up towards him to give him an unimpressed glower. It was enough to make him grin before he gently rested a hand on the others shoulder. âIt will be alright padawan mine, two more days and we can take the shuttle home and you wonât be exposed to the desert sun for much longer.â He assured.
âIf you say so Master butâŚthis is frankly terrible.â Obi-Wan sighed.
âOh my fair skinned padawan, perhaps next time youâll remember to bring the sunscreen eh?â Qui-Gon teased and tugged the hood further to ensure the others face was hidden from the rays of the sun.
âNext time, Iâm bringing eight bottles master.â
Obi-Wan continued to suffer through the sun, staying in the shade as much as he could, rubbing his burned skin in with the bacta and aloe mix and drinking water.
And perhaps complaining just a bit.
Just a little bit.
Eventually though the red skin faded to the same pale skin as Obi-Wanâs skin never tanned well but the sun had left behindâŚ
âAre those freckles?â Qui-Gon stooped a bit, peering at his padawan with raised brows as Obi-Wan gave him a startled look back, the teen pausing mid kata.
âWhat?â He eeped.
Qui-Gon took the teen by the chin and tilted his head back and forth.
Scattered across the bridge of Obi-Wanâs nose, along his forehead, down his cheeks and jawbone and even over the top of his lips and chin, tiny freckles showed against the pale skin with a few of them slightly larger then the rest.
Like a myriad of stars across the night sky.
Obi-Wan was keeping still for him but it was clear he wanted to squirm around, eyes wide as he stared up at his master.
Lips twitching into a smile, Qui-Gon let go. âFreckles Obi-Wan. The sun has given you freckles. It seems you have more then just your hair turning even more bronzen by the sun, you also have a few skin signs.â He chuckled and Obi-Wan pressed his fingertips to his face, blinking up at him.
âFreckles? I donât se-â
âNever mind an old man Obi-Wan, its justâŚno never mind.â Qui-Gon shook his head, chuckling at Obi-Wanâs puzzled look.
He had been about to say that coupled with Obi-Wanâs dimples, the freckles made him look even more adorable then before.
Freckled and with copper golden hair.
Qui-Gon knew the hair would fade, that happened before on longer missions in sunny spots. But he hoped some of those star burst patterns of freckles that only got obvious up close would remain, at least for a little longer.
After all, it made Obi-Wan look adorable.
