Giggling thinking about how this might be why Joseph was offered to audition for Eddie since the original Eddie in Duffers' mind was meant to be a little bitch and Steve's nemesis, annoyed and jealous and bitter 24/7.

Instead Joseph made him into a cutie pie baby precious geeky queer boy with a sunshine smile and the Duffers were like "ah yes 🤌 this is exactly what we were looking for, you're hired".

Absolutely; the nuance that Joe infused into Eddie was superb. It's precisely why we're still over here obsessing over a boy who "died" 6 months ago after only 42 minutes of footage. 😅 The Duffers didn't expect it, the rest of the cast didn't expect it, heck Joe didn't even seem to expect it. And yet here we are, selling out cons and paying hundreds of dollars just for a photo, or an autograph, and 10 seconds with the man... writing our fix-it fics and creating stunning gifs in tribute to a truly amazing character and actor. Bravo, Joe.

I love the idea of the Duffers using Prince Paul as a template for casting Eddie; can you imagine how different it would feel if Joe had played him that way?
