Cat And Mouse
Word Count: 1,137
Characters: My OCs, Tan and Gray (human and demon roommates. This story features Lee!Tan and Ler!Gray).
Warnings: non-sexual tickling, a sympathetic but innocently sadistic demon
Tickling was not something most people thought about regularly, but for Gray, it was a fascination. As a reformed demon with lingering sadistic impulses, tickling's playful, innocent reputation made it easy to exploit as a sadistic hobby while still being morally okay.
So of course, moving in with Tan necessitated finding out if his roommate was ticklish.
Well, let's be realistic here. Gray thought with a grin. It's about finding out how ticklish he is.
Gray could tell Tan was ticklish just by looking at him. It was a vibe he had picked up on over the years- humans who were ticklish may as well be wearing a sign declaring it.
A small poke to Tan's side confirmed this theory. The boy let out a squeak and jumped.
"What was that for?!" Tan huffed crossly.
Gray grinned. "Just to see if you're ticklish."
Tan turned pink. "W- w- I-... I'm… not, you just, startled me."
"Mhm." Gray smirked, poking Tan again, who yelped and shoved Gray's hands away. "Not ticklish?"
Tan glared. "Alright, fine, maybe a little. What's it matter to you, you taking a poll or something?"
"No," Gray said. "But tickling is quite fun, don't you think?"
"No! It's mean!" Tan squeaked and took a step back.
Gray raised an eyebrow. "Mean?" he echoed in a mocking tone. "Why, Tan, you underestimate how mean I can get."
Tan seemed to understand what was about to happen, or at least be aware that he was in deep shit, so he took off toward the stairs. Bad move. It was almost inevitable that he would get cornered upstairs. Gray smirked. His roommate was making this easy for him.
Still, this game of cat-and-mouse was all part of the fun, even if the mouse happened to be bad at it. Gray headed up the stairs, hands in pockets. Tan's door was closed. There was no lock on said door, but Gray could be sure that Tan was leaning close to it on the other side. This was almost too easy. Tan's attempts at brute force never panned out, it just wasn't his strong suit.
Gray twisted the knob, and with a little effort, opened the door against the pressure from the other side. Tan's eyes were wide when they met Gray's, and Gray grinned.
"Time's up," Gray said smugly, feeling very much like a cat with his prey just inches from his jaws.
Tan made a noise that was somewhere in between a scream and a laugh as he was pounced on and shoved to the floor, Gray's fingers digging into his sides ruthlessly. Gray smiled as he ran his fingers up further against Tan's ribs, causing his roommate to twist and squirm against the floor helplessly, face pink as he giggled.
"F-FAHAHAHAHAHA! FAHAHAHACK! GRAHAHAHAHAY! GRAHAHAHAY! FU-FAHAHAHAHA! PLEHEHEHEASE! OHOHAHAHAHAHAHA! OHOHOHO MYHYHY GOHAHAHAHAHAD!"
Gray slightly hummed to himself, ignoring the desperate pleading from his captive as he spidered his fingers up and down his ribs, quickly and expertly, while Tan just melted into the floor and cackled, unable to even stammer out his begging through his laughter anymore.
Gray sighed a bit and let up, still not stopping completely, but enough to let Tan breathe a bit easier. "It's tiresome to see you be beaten so easily, Tan," he said. "But I suppose there's no helping it- humans are weak, they can only take so much."
If Gray was perhaps a bit more perceptive, he might have seen the wheels turning in Tan's expression, the beginnings of a plan involving testing the unspoken claim behind Gray's words ("demons can handle tickling for far longer than humans").
But Gray did not waste time reading Tan's expression, and instead just began to idly circle the human's stomach with his fingernails, eliciting more writhing and giggles, but this time, Tan grabbed Gray's hands and forced them away from him, still laughing a little and trying to move out from under the demon.
Gray could not let his captive get away. He fought Tan's grip, overpowering him easily due to the human's more exerted condition. He pinned Tan down with one hand and fished in his pocket for a couple items. Aha! Always prepared for some similar eventuality, Gray kept two feathers in his pockets. If he wanted to do some torturously light tickling, this was certain to do the trick even better than fingernails.
Tan didn't have time to speak before both feathers were shoved under his sleeves into his armpits, and Gray swirled them mercilessly as Tan collapsed and writhed and giggled.
"NOHAHAHAHAHA! NAHAHAHA! GRAHAHAHAY PLEHEHEHEASE! GOHAHAHAHAHAWD NAHAHAHAT THEHEHEHEHERE NAHAHAHAHAHAT THEHEHEHEHERE!"
Gray kept the feathers right where they were, smirking down at Tan. "Oh? You want me to tickle somewhere else?
"NOHOHOHOHO! NAHAHAHAHA! PLEHEHEHEASE NOHOHO PLEHEHEASE OHOHOMYHYHYGOHAHAHAHOD!"
"So you want me to keep tickling here, then, hm?" Gray's smirk broke into a grin, and he increased speed on his feathers until Tan's laughter was louder and more helpless than ever, and his begging completely evaporated into a sea of absolute mirth.
Gray took the feathers away, smiling brightly, and while Tan was catching his breath, decided to go for a spot that tended to be a longshot for most people. Perhaps this would be a less ticklish spot for Tan, just to give him a bit of a break?
The two feathers gently dragged their way up both sides of Tan's neck, causing Tan to turn bright red, giggle ridiculously hard, kick out his legs, and desperately try to grab Gray's arms. Gray was far too delighted and intrigued to allow that, however, and he continued his ruthless dragging of the tools up and down Tan's neck while leaning his elbows down a bit over Tan's arms to keep them down.
Tan helplessly squirmed and laughed, now unable to even move his arms much, and Gray absolutely revelled in this newfound tickle spot.
"Tickle tickle tickle~" Gray cooed in a low voice, and this only served to make Tan more desperate, writhing as his face reddened even more, throwing back his head in loud, high-pitched, adorable laughter. Gray grinned. "Aw, what's wrong? Does it tiiickle? Hmmmm? Does it, Tan? Coochie coochie coo~" Gray chuckled and increased his speed with the feathers, until he was sure Tan could not take much more.
"I hate you," Tan said as soon as he caught his breath.
"Tough words for someone in this position," Gray teased.
"You're not done?" Tan said, his tone a weird mix of half panic, half exasperation.
"I'm never done," Gray said. "But I suppose I can let you go for now."
Gray got off of Tan, allowing his roommate to stand up, smoothing out his clothes and scowling. Gray smiled, shrugging, and patted Tan on the shoulder.
"You liked it," was all he said before he left the human's room.
