But I would never ever blame anyone for thinking they would. Zim and Dib share strong simmilarities and they CAN stand working together if they have a shared enemy (who is most of the time, caused by the said person or is literally themselves in a different variation) (which is funny)

Also, It's not that Dib would never ever work together with an evil alien coming from a dictatorship-ship due to his morals (looks at Tak)

He, with the bottom of his heart hates Zim. And I find that wonderful. Zim hates him back. And that combined with the goal to prove his father/mankind that he is this sick, rad kid who still stays awesome even if he isn't doing a job that he really doesn't want (scientist)

but I do find a comical irony despite their mutual bullying (zim w skool/the entire irk apperantly) (dib with skool) they never ever form a mutual understanding, they instead bully eachother.

They are too busy being themselves.
