This morning while I was getting ready I was watching Sesame Street.

They were doing this bit where some clown was trying to wash his hands but kept washing his feet or his elbows and Elmo would go, “no mister noodle, your HANDS!” and all the tv kids would laugh.

Around the fourth or fifth time he couldn’t find his hands, I heard a grown man yell from somewhere else in the motel, “GODDAMMIT, MR. NOODLE.”

this whole day today i've just been... thinking. a lot. about lavender haze and how taylor 100% KNOWS that lavender is associated with lgbtq+ things. and how i don't know if i can respect her anymore if it turns out it really is about joe... idk i'm just upset. it feels like she's knowingly taking a queer thing and turning it into a straight thing

ugh this shouldn't upset me so much

like honestly! while i absolutely think she's bi, i wouldn't be upset if she identifies as straight (okay that's a lie i'd still be a bit sad about that). but she KNOWS symbolism. she KNOWS what the colours of her wig represented in her pride song music video filled with queer people. she KNOWS that lavender historically is a queer colour, she SAID she got the inspiration from a historical show and GOOGLED it. you cannot tell me she doesn't know, because that's not the kind of person she is. she KNOWS symbolism, that is literally her job.

so if this song is really about her love for joe, then it totally feels like she's knowingly taking a Queer Thing and making it straight, she's taking it away from us and she knows it. and that really upsets me.

i'll wait for the album to actually come out though... and i just hope she won't disappoint me
