Firestar says ‘frick’

My grandma was Native American, and I'm still going to make dumb Warriors comics. I do think it's important to be aware of the abundant problems in this series, but we as a community have always been transparent with new members about said problems and have worked to make fan content that fixes those issues. I want to be someone who does make stupid cat comics, but I, perhaps naively, hope to use my comics to rectify issues with the series. Heck, my current comic was partially made to turn the ableism in the series into a story that hopefully encourages the mentally and physically disabled by sharing my own experiences in a fictional way.

I've really wanted to imbue my heritage into my own version of the Warriors Tribe, turning racist elements into an embrace of culture that shaped me growing up just as Warriors did. But I'm so scared of being called racist, so I don't share it much.

I truly believe the rampant flaws in this series are born of the Erins' ignorance and not of malice. Perhaps that's just my naive optimist speaking. I just want to believe the best in others, and I want to believe we can make wonderful and positive content from flawed material. ;v;

A Starless Clan, the next Warriors arc, is coming April 2022.

Ah well. I know there’s a moonkitti vid about it but I’m not about to watch that, but I’m p sure that’s where it all comes from!

TBH, this is just my opinion, the relationship isn’t wholly like... fine... BUT not just from Bramble’s end I mean both of them kinda suck for each other! they also work things out when they need to and DO love each other and I think that’s neat! 

ofc it’s WARRIOR CATS so people read between the lines a lot since we don’t get a lot of development from these characters usually. Sometimes people read an unhealthy relationship and say that it’s abusive and they can think what they want, honestly. I read Jayfeather being an ass as him being depressed and consider that a headcanon, and I can have fun and diagnose him as such but it doesn’t mean he canonically has depression that’s just how I relate to him. What it comes down to I think is that a popular wc youtuber had an opinion and made a video about it and now people are taking that opinion and running with it. Honestly that’s all fine until people start bullying others for like... liking Bramblestar or thinking their relationship is cute - there was nothing in the books to cause that turnaround it is purely fan speculation and THAT is what breeds a toxic environment. I still think they’re cute! Neither Squirrelflight nor Brambleclaw are perfect little angels, but I’m also not and neither are you. It’s totally, absolutely fine to be critical of it, just... don’t use what amounts to a theory/speculation/armchair diagnosis as a way to bully people for liking the wrong dang cat in a kid’s series!
