i always feel like w/ myra and how she could influence reddie in a post-it 2 world where eddie lives is like.....i wouldnt say haunting the narrative, but i've always had a hard time believing that eddie, at least in the canon narrative we know, can just like let go of everything with her so easily. ive always felt like he'd think about her often, reference her in conversation a lot, and its not that he MISSES her necessarily, and knows that divorcing her is the best not just for him but for her as well, but he was married to her for years. theres so much history between them and they've seen each other at their absolute worst, that he cant just walk away from her and go no contact so easily. and i think it'd be realistic for richie and eddie to clash somewhat on that, bc although richie tries to be understanding not just as a romantic partner but as a best friend, he doesnt particularly like myra and knows that eddie is much better without her, but - and no shade richie - hes never been married or had a long-lasting relationship to the same extent, so he goes between "am i being jealous - ha fuck no - or do i just not know what im talking about?"
