the way the hunger games starts with katniss reaching for prim who is gone. prim was dead from the beginning

I’m confident that if Katniss truly hadn’t wanted kids Peeta would have gotten a vasectomy like very early on in their relationship. He canonically only cares about getting to be with Katniss, so he wasn’t gonna break up with her over this. That never would have happened, this is not a deal breaker to him. Peeta doesn’t even express an interest in children beyond basic human empathy. We know he cares about protecting the innocent, but that doesn’t mean he even pictured himself as a dad. That’s all Katniss. She was the one who always not-so-secretly wanted to have a family with him but kept telling us it was about what Peeta wanted. Remember, the only things Peeta actually expresses are 1. Wondering if Katniss likes him back. 2. Worrying that Katniss likes Gale more. 3. Deciding that Katniss and Gale make more sense together (based on literally nothing) and actively wanting them to get together 😭 4. Wanting to die so he ‘fixes’ all of Katniss’s problems (LOL fat chance). 5. Wanting Katniss to get mad at him so ‘it’s easier’ when he goes (LOL coach Peeta had the exact opposite effect). Bro never says anything about what their future would even look like beyond just hanging out with Haymitch and ‘being normal’ (which to him is silently doing crafts together). Katniss is the only one dreaming about Peeta’s babies and fantasizing about how tender he’d be with them. Give me a BREAK anti-everlark-family people. Girl literally said she wouldn’t have minded being a teen mom as long as the hunger games got cancelled forever.

I think I’m normal about thg and everlark until I talk to my irl friends about it and I quickly realize no I am not normal.
