Dorcas grew up in a seemingly perfect household. Happily married parents; father a lawyer and a mother who stayed at home to care for Dorcas and her younger and older brothers. Happy. Perfect. Until it wasnāt anymore. Her father, a seemingly virtuous man, had a whole other family. Her mother gave him a choice; her family or the other. Dorcas will never forget the day her father chose and she refused to speak to him since. On the outside Dorcasā mother appeared strong, but there are nights when sheās not and Dorcas has to be there to make things okay. With both of her older brothersā help, they ensure that their heartbroken mother is alright while simultaneously keeping things cheerful for the youngest Meadowes boy.
Being the only girl makes Dorcas witty and brazen. She says things and doesnāt really stop to think about the other person. When it comes to her friends, she is fiercely protective; always willing to help a friend. Her home life is a secret. She hasnāt told anyone about her fatherās betrayal. On top of dealing with her home life, Dorcas now has to worry about her own safety. Being a muggleborn in such times may very well put a target on her back.
