Meeting the Bosko’s
Marek took Jack’s hand and stood up, instantly moving in close to Jack, gravitating to him. He hugged Jack tightly for a moment as he rested his curly head against the vampire’s chest. Then he wrapped his arms around Jack’s.
At the house the front doors opened and out stepped two men older than Marek, but both displaying features in some fashion similar to Marek, even the darker skinned man. Henryk and David Bosko, Marek’s brothers.
Marek hesitated once he saw them - Henryk standing all stoic with his arms crossed, and David next to him with an unreadable cop mask - but then continued on, walking with Jack until they were a couple feet from them, breaking away only after David broke his mask to smile at Marek and extend an arm out toward him.
“Welcome home,” he said as Marek moved up to give David a tight hug, David hair just as kinky curly as Marek’s, though not as soft looking and darker in color. David’s arm wrapped around Marek and his face softened a brief moment before the mask was in place again, his eyes going to Jack. Next to them Henryk merely reached over and rested his hand on top of Marek’s head. The touch more affection than he typically showed, but the moments leading up to Marek’s departure had changed things with the elder brothers. Made them realize just how lacking they’d been in regard to Marek.
“Who is this vampire you bring to our home, Marek?” Henryk asked, his eyes calculating, though expressive. Not having mastered a cold mask as a lawyer. Not yet.
“Jack Fitzgerald. My Master. He is a Master Vampire, and I am his Animal Servant now.” Marek pulled back from his hug when he felt both brother’s go incredibly tense and looked at them, their eyes on Jack still and not leaving.
Jack smiled softly as the young man wrapped his arms around him and hugged him tightly. He returned the hug, pressing a soft kiss to the top of his head. He heard the doorhandle turn and he lifted his eyes to see the two figures step outside.
Jack walked along with Marek, keeping a close but gentle hold on him until he eventually broke away to approach his brothers. Jack stopped close by but gave them a little bit of space to say their greetings. It was a touching scene but Jack stayed alert, waiting for something to happen.
When his presence was finally addressed, Jack stepped up and offered a hand in greeting. “Pleasure to meet you both.” His tone was formal but not unfriendly. An older woman appeared at the door just then and smiled. Jasmine slipped over to greet Marek before speaking. “Your parents are waiting.” It was clear she had been sent to make sure that nothing happened until Eryk and Adeline had a chance to meet the vampire.
