So everyone is literally saying that “We shouldn’t even try” “net neutrality is gonna be gone” “whats the point its already gonna be gone” are probably the ones who HAVE enough money to where THEY CAN PAY for all this ridiculous shit fees and packages. Or people who literally aren’t freaking out and don’t care to do anything about it are letting “everyone else take care of it” Like y’all saw what the fuck happened with trump when you depended on everyone else doing something you can easily do. Those people not freaking out don’t care or don’t know a whole lot about the facts that they’ll never see their internet friends again or don’t care that all those aritsts they follow will never be heard from or anything again really, All the news shit? Gone You don’t fucking get it.. They won’t be able to watch youtube videos all the time. ALL THOSE CONTENT CREATORS ON YOUTUBE? GONE! LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS? GONE! PEOPLE GETTIING THEIR ART AND IDEAS FOR TV SHOWS AND HAVING NETWORKS NOTICE THEM? GONE! BUYING THINGS OFF THE INTERNET? GONE! 

You can’t just IGNORE this problem either because (I don’t like politics) (I don’t like reality) (I don’t like this sort of drama) BECAUSE HEY THIS EFFECTS YOU TOO

THE INTERNET WILL BE FUCKING GONE AND DEAD UNLESS YOU (MYSELF INCLUDED) DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

I am crying right now because this show is about a young man with Autism who, his whole life, faced stigma even as he was a genius. He faced many hardships that neurodivergent people face every day, and yet he still pushes forward.

Throughout the episode - the first episode - I felt like someone was batting my heart with a baseball bat until the very end where they reached in and tore it out. The end left me in messy tears.

I never cry in movies. Moved? Yes. Cried? Never. Dogs could die and the main protag could lose it all, and I didn’t bat an eye. This had me crying.

The main character is a savant autistic young man who only wants to help people, help them live long and wonderful lives because of the tragedies of his past. He’s brilliant and has no ulterior motives to be at this hospital besides help people. Yet, even as he has one in his corner, everyone else sees his diagnosis and tries to shut him out.

But he tries. He tries harder than anyone else would. He does the seemingly impossible even as everyone else struggles to understand him.

This show is so important to me as someone who is neurodivergent and as someone who has grown up with autistic family. Please, please watch the show on ABC or hulu or some channel that streams it for cost because it needs support. It needs to stay on the air. It’s too important, already, to lose.

In the economy here; cash is already strapped as it is. You bet your ass companies would suck the ever living life out of misc. art sites.

I don’t want it to ever come down to me choosing between groceries or purchasing a new tier package via comcast to be able to access tumblr or DeviantArt (let alone not guaranteeing I’ll even be seen by my customer base since they may not want to pay out their asses either). It doesn’t seem important to most, but I do 90% of my business online entirely.

This means that the American internet is going to be firmly under the control of those who have the most money. You’ll only get to see the content of those who can pay the ISPs to provide access at a reasonable speed. This means that you can expect to see skewed representation of just about everything, with those bigger businesses who can afford to pay ISPs a premium for access deciding what you can and cannot read, view and consume on the internet.

This is not something that we have in the UK. Our ISPs compete with each other to provide higher speeds, better services and lower prices, but because there’s a monopoly in the US of a few ISPs who provide services, they can afford to do this to you. You can’t go anywhere else, after all.
