I helped William Coupon (1952-2026) shoot this portrait of Christopher Hitchens in about 2010, for Readers Digest. Hitchens gave me a beer while I ironed Williams's backdrop. The author was already dying from throat cancer. He blamed his habit of drinking scalding tea. I was tempted to steal an Orwell book from his library but resisted.
