wow wow wow!!! this album- wow. I will never be able to truly express how much this album means to me and what it does to me. Dan Barrett is truly a genius when it comes to his work as a musician. his lyrics, the sounds he creates, the meaning behind everything he makes--no one will truly ever come close to this man [maybe will toledo]. he feels things and makes me feel them a million times more than when I originally felt them. the feelings of despair, longing, hopelessness, and so much more god. the motif of bodies--especially the narrators--really makes this whole album rlly cool.

although it changes every week, my listing of this album right now currently will probably be:

my body betrayed me - seriously top five favorite songs ever. from the sounds to the lyrics god dude i could talk for hours about this whole entire album and ESPECIALLY this song. if i turn on any hanl/giles corey/black wing/consumer/nahvalr this song is almost ALWAYS getting played first. this song is ALWAYS getting replayed over and over too.

if I let him in - I really really REALLY love the instrumental of this song so much good god. this song has climbed the ranks in my favorites very drastically recently cuz I cant stop thinking of the lyrics: Hollow me out Replace it with spiders [love these lyrics so much i'm painting them lmfao]

black wing - wow okay this song used to be my favorite from this album but obviously my body betrayed me took over but I still rlly love this song. I especially REALLY like the opening lyrics and the way Dan makes them sound wow I love his voice. I also REALLY love the way this song kinda fades into my body betrayed me oh god I LOVE when music artists do that it's so seriously cool and sounds ASTRONOMICAL!!!! I just rlly love the way Dan makes this song sound in general. OH MY GOD AND THE INSTRUMENTALS FUCKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

luther - HOLY FUCKK I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! lowkey thinking hardcore about putting it above black wing but black wing was my first song from this album so it's always going to have a special place in my heart. I love love love the instrumentals of this song so much and the ad libs god I love you Dan so much u’ll never even know. just like black wing [and every other hanl & co. songs] I love the way Dan's voice sounds in this song.

death sentences - was thinking hardcore about putting this song above luther but decided against it ;-; ANYWAYS like I always say I rlly love the instrumentals of this song like this one will probably have to be my favorite instrumental wise [other than my body betrayed me obvi and maybe dsa] I love the twinkling [?] sounds that start around the 3:00 mark. another thing that Dan does in some of his songs that I rlly love when musicians do is putting voice recordings of people [sometimes themselves] talking and this song has a rlly cool voice recording at the end wow especially that last line man.

dsa - the beginning of this song makes me feel like I'm a caveman or in a cult lmfao but I do love this song a lot wow. Dan knows me inside and out cuz he does a lot of shit that I would so totally do if I were to be a musician--wordless songs. I LOVE when artists have wordless songs in their discography/albums wow. GOD THE 2:34 MARK FUCK BRO THAT SWITCH UP IS SO SEXY FUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK.

unemployed - this song makes me feel like I'm at war. not much to say about this song really. it's not the worst i've heard but it's also not my favorite [it probably will be at some point] but I still love it trust.
