I just realized that I’m so obsessed with kenuri because of the religious imagery (Uri as Christ-like only in suffering, not salvation. The founding titan as an old testament god-wrathful, cyclical, unmerciful. Kinda like how Jesus is god but god is not Jesus, uri is the founder but the founder is not Uri.) and Kenny Ackerman as a sinner, his flaws and sins being what makes him so inherently human. He can do nothing but be hopelessly devoted to him. I find it so interesting how the power of the founder seemingly possesses uri and you can see it in his eyes. I like to think Kenny noticed this and he can tell when it’s uri speaking and when the founder’s speaking through him.

canonverse kenuri is so insane when you think about it. the true King of the walls who is living in hiding, protected by a decoy royal family, in possession of the titan that connects him to literally every single eldian ever. runs into a random Ackerman (family made to serve his family that has been hunted down for decades because the past kings were no longer able to control them), who immediately imprints on him the second the sees him on his knees (ok). this Ackerman proceeds to become the King's most loyal attack dog. closing the circuit that was created decades ago, when the Ackerman clan turned their backs on the royals and were hunted to near extinction. they fall for each other, in a way. in every way. doomed from the very beginning. side by side until smooth skin wrinkles. until the end. until the END. the Ackerman watches the King pass on his titan. watches him be devoured. looks for something of him in his teenaged niece. lives the rest of his life with one goal, to get close to that King again. to experience the world like he did. to understand him. he dies by the underground grotto where the King passed his power. and no one knew. no one knew about any of it. only a select handful of people even knew that King existed once. even less knew of their intimate connection. the last of the knowledge of what they shared for that brief span of years blinks out of existence when the devil loses his head, and the titans are erased. at that point, it doesn't matter anymore. the Ackerman has joined his King years ago. the two of them remember, and that is enough.

I love Matilda because it's a story about a child who sees injustice around her and gets mad about it and questions why things aren't fair, and instead of the ending being that she learns how the world works and that life isn't fair, she catapults one of the adults who abused her out of a building with her mind

i’m officially beating a dead horse here but bruce saying “she threw him on my lap and ran away laughing” was especially egregious. even as early as resurrection of ra’s al ghul it’s obvious she “threw damian in bruce’s lap” to SAVE DAMIAN’S LIFE. why is it still so hard for ppl to believe she loves her son???
