☾ generation 1 - THE moon

fact(s): earth’s moon, otherwise known simply as “the moon,” was the first moon in our solar system to be discovered! inquiry. analysis. discovery! your mind is ablaze with the possibilities of the universe, so you dedicate your life to science. you keep your circle small, but your bonds are unyielding. you’re a pioneer in every sense, equipped with the brains and heart of a legacy founder.

traits: loner, genius, nurturing, lucky, night owl

lifetime wish: scientific specialist

tasks:

reach level 10 of the science career.

master the science skill.

master the logic skill.

complete the “celestial explorer” logic skill challenge.

become a partner and eventually buy out the science facility.

have a best friend.

→ remain best friends until one of you dies.

have a “perfect marriage,” no cheating and no divorce.

have as many children as you wish!

☾ generation 2 - europa (yer・oh・puh)

fact(s): europa is the fourth largest of jupiter’s 95 moons and holds twice as much water as earth’s global ocean beneath its icy surface! after a lifetime of success, your parent has passed the torch to you. you’re brimming with potential, but the added pressure of comparison has made you a (paranoid) perfectionist. you play top dog with your coworkers, but outside of work, your only friends are your kids, whom you love more than anything. 

traits: shy, family-oriented, neurotic, schmoozer, perfectionist

lifetime wish: ceo of a mega corporation

tasks:

reach level 10 of the business career.

befriend all of your coworkers.

master the painting skill.

get married as a young adult.

have at least 3 children.

→ no matter how many children you have, they must all be born before the heir becomes an adult.

become best friends with all of your children.

enroll all children and teens in at least 1 after school activity.

never retire.

☾ generation 3 - enceladus (en・seh・luh・duhs)

fact(s): unlike europa, enceladus’ ocean is not wholly contained beneath its surface. in fact, this celestial body sprays water into space! you let everything out - the good, the bad, and the ugly. as a child, you were overindulged, made to want for nothing by your doting parents. so now, as an adult, you overshare, overspend, and overstep - completely oblivious to the world around you. you’ve got a lot to give… but also a lot to learn. not everyone grew up like you, and your actions have consequences.

traits: hopeless romantic, over-emotional, good, inappropriate, slob

lifetime wish: player's choice!

tasks:

have 3 friends as a child.

→ become disliked by all 3 as a teenager.

→ rekindle your friendship with 1 of them as a young adult.

never get a job (not even a self-employed career).

have at least 3 failed relationships, beginning as a teen.

→ these can be with boyfriends/girlfriends and/or spouses.

→ you can get married at any point in this generation, but you don't have to.

master 2 instruments of your choice.

complete at least 1 skill challenge for each instrument.

donate $250 simoleons to charity every week, beginning in young adulthood.

→ if you have seasons, donate $1000 simoleons on snowflake day. you always feel extra generous around the holidays. 

hire a maid after your parents die.

have 2 kids.

neglect the youngest child.

→ they will be the heir of generation 4.

☾ generation 4 - charon (keh・ruhn)

fact(s): named after the ferryman of the dead in greek mythology, charon is the largest of pluto’s five moons, weighing in at over half the size of its parent body! in fact, because charon and pluto are so similar in size, they are often referred to as a “double dwarf planet system.” let’s face it: luck has never been on your side. your parent's negligence taught you to be resourceful from a young age, but as you’ve grown, their continued disinterest has made you bitter. thankfully, you have your older sibling. they just get you, and though you’ve often lived in their shadow, they have never left you behind. at least, not until the accident...

there are a few specific rules for this generation:

you may not have any friends outside of your sibling as a child/teen.

you can have a romantic partner at any point, but you may not get married until you have resurrected your sibling.

traits: unlucky, green thumb, sailor, gatherer, grumpy

lifetime wish: renaissance sim

tasks:

have a strained relationship with the previous heir.

→ what kind of relationship you have with your other parent is up to you!

become life-long, best friends with your sibling.

→ share a room through your childhood and teenage years

→ group up and go out with your sibling at least once a week.

have your sibling die in a mysterious accident when you are a young adult.

→ you can do this however you’d like (including mods)! do whatever works best for your storyline.

dedicate your life to creating ambrosia, and bring your sibling back to life.

master the cooking, gardening, and fishing skills.

have at least 2 children.

own a sailboat.

☾ generation 5 - callisto

fact(s): callisto is the most heavily cratered object in our solar system and the darkest of jupiter’s 4 galilean moons. well, it’s safe to say that seeing your relative rise from the dead had a profound impact on your developing mind. you’ve become enthralled by the supernatural but remain troubled by the fluidity of death. so, while fighting the urge to contemplate life’s futility, you let yourself be consumed by your studies - even to the point of self-transformation.

traits: brooding, supernatural fan, bookworm, brave, easily impressed

lifetime wish: professional author

tasks:

reach level 5 of the journalism career.

quit your job, and join the self-employed writer career.

write horror, mystery, and poetry novels exclusively.

master the writing and alchemy skills.

visit a supernatural hangout lot every saturday night.

marry a supernatural sim.

have at least 1 child.

become a supernatural of your choice using a potion that you have crafted!

☾ generation 6 - io (eye・oh)

fact(s): io is the most volcanically active body in our solar system! though you’ve inherited your parent’s passion, you’ve never understood how they could devote their life to one thing, or anything for that matter. to you, life is too short to settle. you crave the adrenaline that comes with ruining your own life. whether it’s in relationships, careers, or hobbies, you just can’t seem to sit still. you’re not a bad person; you just make really, really bad choices.

traits: hot-headed, commitment issues, flirty, athletic, daredevil

lifetime wish: heartbreaker 

tasks:

begin your romantic endeavors as a teen.

reach level 6 of the firefighter profession.

have a blowup fight with a coworker and quit on the spot.

get married as a young adult.

have an affair, and get divorced.

→ if you have more than one child, you can kick your spouse out with a couple of them, but you must keep at least 1.

break up another sim’s relationship and then marry them.

have at least 1 child from each of your marriages.

reach (at least) level 5 in 4 skills of your choice.

have held 3 different jobs over the course of your life (including firefighting).

have at least 3 enemies.

own a motorcycle.

☾ generation 7 - ganymede (gan・nuh・meed)

fact(s): ganymede is the only known moon to have its own magnetic field! life is all about appearances! and because of your parent’s reputation, you’ve got a lot of cleaning up to do. so, you land a job in politics and decide to dedicate your life to the pursuit of public approval. before long, you’re making great strides in bettering your community, and sims all over town are singing your praises! you’re loving the limelight! what you haven’t accounted for, however, is how fragile others’ admiration can be - especially after a gnarly scandal…

traits: charismatic, irresistible, party animal, ambitious, social butterfly

lifetime wish: super popular

tasks:

join ballet as a child.

join drama and debate club as a teen.

have a high school romance.

have at least 1 child out of wedlock.

→  this can be with your high school sweetheart, but it doesn’t have to be.

→  this child (or one of these children) will become the next heir.

get married to your baby’s/babies’ mother/father.

reach level 7 of the political career, then adopt a toddler.

→  parade them around at every campaign fundraiser.

if you are invited to a party, you must either attend said party or throw a party of your own at the same time.

master the charisma skill.

master either the mixology or nectar-making skill.

reach level 10 of the political career.

☾ generation 8 - triton

fact(s): triton is the only sizable moon in our solar system to orbit in the opposite direction of its parent planet’s rotation! growing up in the public eye isn’t for everyone, and it certainly wasn’t for you. as a child, though you often felt misunderstood, you held fast to your sense of self and rejected public perception - no matter the consequence. you find solace in artistic expression, but your methods are lost on your peers, your talents obscured by your delinquency. even so, you stay true to yourself. you know your worth, and with time, the world will know it too.

traits: rebellious, childish, avant-garde, loner, kleptomaniac 

lifetime wish: player’s choice!

tasks: 

develop the rebellious trait as a child.

pull pranks, skip school, dodge your homework, etc. throughout your childhood and teen years.

have a close relationship with the heir of generation 6 and a strained relationship with the previous heir.

→  you can skip this one if they die before the heir becomes a child.

develop the childish trait as a young adult.

get a part-time job of your choice.

master the street art skill, and reach max influence with the rebel social group.

quit your part-time job, and join the art appraiser career.

complete the “always wanted” street art skill challenge.
