• Bero~ seems like an interesting character compared to the other ones. I think it can add a much different perspective to the society we are building a picture of in janloon. Excited ti see where this goes if he stays in the story

• Hilo~ seems like the cool character every story has and I love those characters. Seems like there's more to the rough and reckless picture everyone else is painting of him

• Lan~ not just an interesting character but I love that he has this moral compass while still being the leader of a clan. Excited to see how that continues to play out. Very interesting character to put in these circumstances

• Shae~ I feel like she's going to be a favorite. Again feels like her character gives us or is going to give us a completely separate perspective on the whole situation

• Anden~ really excited for this one. Feels like he might be the Matsuda(sword of kaigen) of the story hopefully not completely tho

• World and magic is so interesting already and love that they added a consequence to the use of the magic. I'm excited for the book to dive deeper into those complexities

• I already knew I loved political fantasy but this is making me realize I might NEED a strong political presence in my fantasy. I feel like separate from any plot that can form I can just read about the politics of this world for the whole series and it would be great
