i know i’m not your home anymore. i know you don’t think of me and feel warm and safe. but you need to know that wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, i will always be someplace you can go. i will always be your home away from home if you choose. i will always be there to pick you up when you’re too heavy, or to hold you when you’re too tired to hold yourself. i know you’re living someplace kind and new, but please don’t forget that i’m the beach house and i haven’t moved.
