âEverybodyâs falling in love but meâ
Summary- Amy rose is having trouble trying to get the blue blur to love her
It seems in Sonicâs world, love is in the air. It's 8 in the morning, and Rogue is already teasing knuckles about taking away the master emerald, smirking to herself when he starts lashing out at her with a slight blush on her cheeks. Silver and Blaze have been hanging out quite a lot more recently, but when asked about it, they brush it off or go silent, which is louder than words.
Tangle and Whisper are new to the team, and they look so adorable. They always say opposites attract!
You would think everyone would be pleasant in their life, everyone but a pink hedgehog named Amy Rose.
Amy Rose embodies love and optimisim but unfortunately, her life has been the opposite.
She spent all night waiting for a text for the blue blur hero, Sonic the Hedgehog
âHeâs busy, heâll respond soon.â
she told herself as her eyelids slowly closed, only to be quickly opened up again as she forced herself to stay awake to talk to her favorite hedgehog
But when it was 3 in the morning, she only saw that she was left on read by the blue hedgehog. Her heart broke as her stomach turned into knots. She knew the outcome, but thought it wouldâve been different this time. She turned off her phone and rolled over to her side, closing her eyes as she cried silently to her pillow.
By the time morning arrives, she feels just as horrible as the night before; her phone is now at 5%, her hair is all matted and tangled, and she woke up in the afternoon, which isnât like her at all. She gets up and turns on the shower, letting it warm up while she brushes her hair slowly and gently. When the shower finally warms up, Amy steps in, letting the water fall on her, immediately wetting her hair. She stands in the shower, zoning out every memory of last night coming back to haunt her. It took her a minute to realize she better hurry up. After showering, she dried herself off with a towel and picked her classic red and white halter dress. She blow-dried her hair, putting on some concealer to cover up the dark circle under her eyes and the red tint from crying all night long. She put on her boots as she walked out to her car.
She went grocery shopping, trying to get her mind off Sonic, but nothing helped, and each time his face popped up in her head, her heart got crushed more. As she walked out of the store with brown bags filled with all sorts of food, she felt a breeze hit her out of nowhere, then she looks infront of her, she saw Sonic the Hedgehog standing in front of her with a cocky smile
âHeya ames! Sorry for not responding last night, I was busy yâknow how it is.â
He says while looking at her as if he wasnât guilty of neglecting to message her
Her stomach dropped when seeing him standing in front of her. She was hopelessly devoted to her when her heart raced seeing him
âS-sonic! I was wondering if you wanna hang tonightâŚor any time..â
Her heartbeat was so loud that you would think everyone else walking around them could hear it
âUhh, sure ames iâll see if I got time and Iâll tell you.â
He told her, meanwhile, scratching his head, avoiding eye contact.
Long story short, he basically rejected her discreetly.
He left her standing there in the middle of the sidewalk. Amy sighed and arrived home. That is where she did anything she could to keep her mind off of Sonic yet again.
Until a bell rang, and it was Sonic standing at her door with a chilli dog in both hands
Amy was appalled; she wasnât expecting this AT ALL
She opened the door wider so he could enter her house. Luckily, it was clean, or else she wouldâve been more freaked out.
Time seems to be slowing down as Sonic and Amy hang out. Sonic is rarely willing to hang out with the pink hedgehog, so this is a surprise to Amy, but she acts normally throughout the whole ordeal.
At midnight, they end up on top of Amyâs rooftop, laughing at old memories. Amy keeps laughing while Sonic stopped a long time ago, and he looked at her with a loving glare without her knowledge
âYâknow AmyâŚI actually enjoy your presenceâŚ.A lot.â
He tells her out of the blue, making the pink hedgehog pause her laughing fit to stare at him with a confused but appreciative look
âThank you, Sonic, that means a lot to me.â
They lock eyes, and again Amy feels her ears heating up and her heart racing the longer they hold eye contact.
Before she knows it, Sonic goes in for a kiss. It lasted for a few seconds, but it felt like a lifetime.
He moved away from the kiss and pulled Amy to his chest. All of this was happening too fast. Amy was drunk in love, so all of this didn't register to her right away.
âShh, Amy, letâs stay in this moment.â
Amy didnât say anything after that; she enjoyed the moment just like he said to do. Sooner or later, Amy fell asleep. She was free of anxiety, self-doubt, and insecurity for that night, for that one night.
In the morning, the rising sun woke Amy up. She jolted awake when she remebers shes on top of her roof. She looks around just to see no one around her, and she remembers falling asleep in Sonicâs arms.
She climbs down her roof to grab her phone, and of course its at 13% percent she sees she has some notifications from 2 AM
âI canât anymore. Iâm so sorry. I think it's for the best if we stay as friends.â
Her heart dropped. She stared at her phone while tears dripped down her wrist.
âEverybody's falling in love and Iâm falling behind.â
