Zuko having a mark of water, but only seeing it for a short while before Ozai fckn BURNS it off.

Zuko cries to his mother that night and she reassures him of something. "When you meet your soulmate your wound will heal and it will reveal your water tribe mate"

When he questioned her she revealed that her mark had been badly wounded before she met his father but when they held hands the wound was healed.

Fast forward to Ember island and Zuko asks katara a favor, he asks her to hold his hand. When nothing happens he tells her the story to which she growls out "oh I swear to gods if this works... come with me" And straught up drags him to Sokka yelling "Sokka give me your soul hand!"

He argues that he gave up on the soulmate thing with "come on Katara we've been over this its been scraped off for years"

But she grabs it and just smacks their hands together and the marks glow and heal. And they both just stare at their hands dumbfounded "you?! It was you the whole time!?"
