once you recognize the pattern of black men on spn being killed (half the time immediately!) it’s impossible to unsee it

and yes, this post is absolutely about all the named characters you’re thinking of (jake talley, gordon walker, victor henriksen, rufus, uriel, raphael, etc.). but it’s also about every unnamed extra or minor single episode side character. pay attention and you’ll notice that if a Black man shows up in the monster of the week intro, 90% of the time he’ll be dead by the title card. and if a Black man is introduced halfway through the episode with some other side characters, he’ll be the one sam and dean DON’T manage to save from the monster of the week. it’s through the whole run of the show, too.
