God i love Alan. Wet blanket of a man. Wandering around his wife's mansion like an idle NPC, sleeping on the pull-up sofa - he doesn't even have his own bedroom?? Pathetic. Being put on tasks Adora finds displeasing. Comforting her in her delusions. The enablerrrrrrr.

Man just rewatched "Falling" and damn. Those flashbacks of him dancing with little Amma. ALAN. What are you doing, you LOVE those girls!!! He's not even indifferent to them!! But he's so detached from reality he might as well be and it's pathetic and infuriating and just slightly heartbreaking. Man with a lack of spine so pathologic that "cowardice" doesn't begin to cover it.

That entire episode, umffff... Adora so expertly wielding narratives, playing such an untouchable role, not ever to be dethroned, everyone (doctors nurses the town her husband) so willing to believe the bullshit she so confidently spews. How could a lady SO classy and well-mannered be anything but in the right. Jackie beaten down by this fight against Adora she never even really began.

And Adora believes it herself.... the way she beams this episode... we've never seen her so happy and at peace and somehow also completely lost to her fantasy. EXCELLENT acting once more, she's fully embracing the maternal caring and being transformed by it. Creepy as fuck
