It’s getting cold out, thought I should just let you know.

I would walk outside, but the weather is just not the same without you. 

I know you would love it here. I think of you in this condition, your warm brown winter coat. 

The bite of the wind on our noses while we talk of our favorite smells.

Even though I've never seen your face, I know you would love it here. 

And though it's been so many years I still wonder, will you appear?

But still I know you would love it here, in this thickened wood.

My tears will fall as I wait

but no matter, this life is still long and zealous.

”You are still young,” my mama says.

Though as I walk on this dirt beaten path, I am distracted by the fixed flowers.

Some surely are on their death bed, but others flourish intertwined.

I ask myself everyday, am I almost at the end? Maybe I’m close.
