In Paper Mario: The Origami King, a plot event in Shangri-Spa is Bowser Jr.'s colors disappearing after taking a bath in the Spring of Jungle Mist. When he emerges from the spring, Kamek says a blank text bubble, whereupon he humorously explains that the shock made the color drain from his typeface.

However, while the speech bubble appears blank, it actually has text in it, which is merely set to 0% transparency - "You're bleached!". As such, it cannot actually be seen in-game under any circumstances, and requires extracting the data from the game's files to view. Interestingly, this text has been translated into all languages the game is available in, and cannot be seen in any of them. Throwback to March when I lost my mind and painted Dan Hentschel…

Top: in 2026, an officially licensed Donkey Kong Bananza plush was released in Japan that featured an expression on Donkey Kong's face that appears to be a frown from most angles. Together with the "thumbs up" gesture this creates a humorous mismatched effect.

Bottom left: this inadvertently resembles a reaction GIF that is very widespread on the Internet, featuring Brent Rambo from a 1990s Apple promotional video. Note the distinct combination of a frown with a thumbs-up gesture.

Bottom right: interestingly, a Donkey Kong version of this reaction was made in 2023 by video creator Udge that has itself gained popularity. While it is unlikely that these GIFs inspired the expression of the plush, it is a notable coincidence that Donkey Kong has already independently been depicted in a similar way by fan sources.

Imagine Dragons.

However, after recording Demons, and likely a few other songs (and also after coming up with the tune for Radioactive, though they claim it’s not related to the musical) they decided that the songs were “too good” to be just for a musical, and thus began re-working them for a non-Spiderman related album, which would become Night Visions, Imagine Dragon’s first release.

WHILE I HAVE NO PROOF OF THIS, it is… utterly likely that Thunder is one of the songs originally intended for Turn Off The Dark, due to the fact that Electro is one of the villains in that musical, they just didn’t release it in Night Visions.
