rewatched hot fuzz and i am not exaggerating when i say it's literally a gay romcom
the movie begins with nicholas' gf breaking up with him bc he is too in love with his job and she tells him that he will maybe find someone he cares for more than his job. and danny is meant to be that person.
some examples given when asked how he neglects to care for her:
1) forgets her birthday (so nicholas does his best to get a thoughtful birthday present for danny)
2) didn't attend her dad's funeral (and the movie ends with nicholas visiting danny's mom's grave)
3) is unable to turn off job thoughts even if she asks him to (but danny teaches him how to do so)
4) chooses his dream job at all costs (and nicholas ends up choosing to stay with danny in the town even when london wants him back)
i can't. the scene where danny is inviting nicholas into his house. the whole, "this is me... unless u want to come in?". the "this for someone special?" "yes". their fight and "i won that stuff toy for u" how did i not see all this before
i'm normal. i'm fine. i don't even CARE that the guys are gonna have a sleepover.
the person Mac loves the most is CHARLIE. the person he trusts the most and feels comfortable with the most is CHARLIE. His home is CHARLIE. i disagree so much with the idea that Dennis is who he loves the most. like yes Mac does love him but he's known Charlie since they were babies so Mac literally learned love with Charlie and that will always foundationally be who he is, just like Dennis loves Dee the most. Mac's most important person is not even Luther who Mac tries to build his life after and can't escape no matter how hard he tries. It's Charlie. Mac doesn't get it because he doesn't believe he's worthy of love so he can't comprehend being loved and therefore he can't understand what he has but that doesn't mean Charlie isn't the most important to him. Charlie's been his home since they were kids and always will be.

iasip x fnaf au where charlie becomes a security guard after the gang kicks him out of paddy's bar. he's more interested in the janitor aspect of the job though but only later finds out about the whole security thing bc he couldn't read the poster advertising the job. mac, though, upon hearing that charlie works as security, feels the need to join him to prove that he's more fit for the job Actually. he also thinks getting paid $4 per hour is incredibly worth it, and forces charlie to split the pay for the both of them. charlie agrees bc he doesn't want the security aspect of the job anyways. frank joins too bc he's interested in taking over the pizzeria business.
day 1 has them three in the security guard room chilling. frank doesn't care for the electricity limitation and keeps pressing the door's button bc it's entertaining. mac doesn't care for it either bc he did an ocular patdown on the animatronics and concluded that they pose no threat to him, and he could easily take them down if needed. charlie just wants to go to work (cleaning the place).
when the animatronics finally do start moving though, they're all three scared shitless. frank curls into a ball while mac and charlie runs outside to escape. they see a random car left in the parking lot and hijack it, only to crash it into the wall and burn. the car turns out to be dee's car of course, bc she and dennis had come together after feeling left out (and dennis needed to check if any of the animatronics here had boobs)
