yall remember when saitama was feeling all lonely and depressed this was coincidentally when he hadnt seen genos in a while and then he gets worried about genos and as soon as he lays eyes on him he literally feels better
what im tryna say is saitama loves genos as much as genos loves saitama dont @ me
Don’t @ me is so 2018…
I had been so disappointed in Saitama as he’d run about in the aftermath of the Super Fight, not apparently knowing or caring that Genos, whom he went to the stadium with, was missing.
I kept thinking that this was a great way to lose your disciple.
I loved King looking sceptically at Saitama’s attributing his sense of relief and clarity to pent up frustration from losing at videogames, but being wise enough to say nothing. From the moment the thought occurred to Saitama that Genos might be in trouble until he saw his disciple alive and well(ish), nothing else had mattered.
And since then, Saitama’s reverted to his nonchalant, don’t seem to notice self.
It’s not about romance – forget that. It’s about acknowledging and appreciating the person in his life. That’s the basis of the connection that Saitama so claims he misses. That’s the way to keep the one person who will actually advocate *for* Saitama, who will fight for him in his life.
A question brought this up on my activity screen. Well, it’s not 2018 any longer. It’s 2026 and we know how Saitama was ‘just tolerating’ (see some of the comments) Genos.
He doesn’t just love him. He needs him.
Do not harm the cyborg. He is protected by a man whom even the gods fear.
Saitama seems to have blocked the memories out, but it’s heartening to see that he’s hanging out with Genos of his own free will. In this panel, Genos is *not* yet back from sick leave and they have no joint project to work on – the apartment has already been salvaged. They’re just here because they enjoy each other’s company.
