He could not believe that Steven and the rest ganged up on him, practically shoving him onto the plane and sending him straight to Alola, admittedly Norman acknowledged that perhaps he’d been working far too much but there were things which needed to be done around the gym and his home. 

At least they were considerate at booking his flight and hotel without him spending money, though unable to deny the annoyance felt at them going behind his back like this. 

Norman paused hearing a man call out to him and paused. “A-ah, I’m not going down there,” His finger scratched his cheek. “I’m trying to find my hotel my… colleagues dumped me here and ran off. So I’m a bit lost.”

                 Well, it saved NANU the trouble of bothering with the whole spiel about  Team Skull. It was rather annoying to have to sit down and explain why it was a dangerous spot for those that weren’t residents of ULA’ULA. He sighs as the man tells him he’s lost, sandal-clad feet churning moist, clumping sand lethargically as he pads over to the tourist. 

“... Where are you staying? The closest place with hotels is Malie City.“

Brett jumped at the voice, quickly scooping up Zeus and turning to face the new person, seeing who they are by the glow of Zeus’ Flash, “Oh! Trust me, sir. There were some Pokémon out there that made sure I knew that.” The Shinx in his arms did look a bit beat up, so it can probably be presumed the boy wasn’t lying. “So much for training.”

“You… wouldn’t happen to have any potions on you.. would you?” Brett asked sheepishly.

                  “... You might as well come back to the station. I’ve got some sitrus berries I picked a few days ago, and you can help yourselves to them. If you still need a potion or two after that, I’ll help you get back to Malie City so you can grab what you need there.”

“Either way, you should get yourself out of these woods until you’re certain you won’t immediately get wiped out.“

     “ Yeah, I know. That fucker don’t like much human contact. Think maybe that’s why he like you so much, ‘cause you just come get it done and go. He would never want me for Kahuna ‘cause I make him do monthly check-in, ha. ”

     It’s more of a baring of teeth, her smile.

     “ Tell me what Bulu like in your dreams. He take you anywhere? Or you just hear cowbell and then? ”

                It’s an unusual expression for Plumeria, almost as if it were a grimace than anything else, but.... They’re enjoying themselves right now. He shouldn’t disturb her with his own suspicions when he’s clearly been gone for a while. Remarkable how a week could turn into a month and more-- but clearly everyone else notices much more clearly than NANU did.

“.... It’s a little complicated, but yes. He’ll show me visions of the past and even more of the future-- but very surreal, specific things. I’m not explicitly allowed to share what exactly he shares with me, because of stupid “traditions”, but he only communes with me if he needs something from me... Any other time I require council from him, I have to go sleep in the temple.”

                  “-- Now you sound like you wanna take over my job.” He laughs a little, placated by the scent of her perfume as he reclines against his tattered sofa, one of his many Meowth perched in his lap and purring noisily as he strokes her soft grey fur. 

“I’ll think about it-- I won’t be going back for a while.“

“I'ma take care these islands forever, Nanu.”
