Sophie Cho is your average girl. If you ignored the fact that she’s a demigod, that is. Maybe if you also ignore the fact that she lives in Gotham, or that she accidentally became a vigilante? Okay, so maybe she isn’t really your average girl, but she sure wishes she was. 

As if having a deadbeat dad and a dead mother wasn’t a bad enough situation when living in Gotham of all places, when you find out your deadbeat dad is actually a god, in a city overrun by monsters, and not just the mythological kind, things change, and not for the better. 

Or: Sophie is already having a tough enough time being a demigod. Enter Gotham, overrun by myths that only she can see, and it just makes it so much worse. The worst part, in her opinion, though, is probably her living in New Jersey, but that’s probably up for debate.
