I have this one headcanon that Miles has a 6th sense for when someone is about to give him a gift, and thus Phoenix can never surprise him with nice things (much to his chagrin). Nick gets flowers? Miles has a vase for them picked out before he can get in the door. Presents? Miles doesn’t even have to shake the box. Date night? Miles is dressed up already.

In folklore the sunflower is considered a flower of loyalty because each day it turns its head to loyally follow the sun, from east to west.
