He finds it pretty interesting that she’s wearing the uniform from his school. Was she a fellow Stand user? Well, that didn’t really matter yet.

“Ever considered realizing how much of a tool you sound like?”

Even so, he’s shrugged off worse attacks, so he grins at her after taking a long moment to recover, pinching his nose.

[ …wait a moment. ] It took him a moment, but as soon as that one, particular word clicked in his mind   – he stopped and looked at Utani in stunned silence. 

What was his problem now? Or was suggesting that they ought to bond some more not accepta--

Wait.

It all clicked together now. His voice had that mischievous, arrogant tone and the fact that he went directly to asking about his love life again – which frankly, was practically non-existent at this point, he told him before – was enough to piece together the clues.

[ He’s also the one that threw him down the stairs at the end. ] He reminded himself, but he’ll refrain from bringing that up…for now, at least. Utani doesn’t seem to be acting like he was before in those final moments.

However, he practically flinches at the touch, before reaching to move Utani’s hand away. The sensation of being able to feel again was…just uncomfortable after being dead for so long. He’s already half expecting to get pocked and prodded at for flinching.

"Well it’s still pretty fun to imagine, more so now that I know what you look like. Hey, ever thought about doing porn? Pretty sure it’d be easy to find an audience with your looks and voice.”

Then he steps closer, a rather uncertain expression coming over his face. He’s wondered about Steel many, many times before, but had always believed this would be impossible.

Even breathing felt uncomfortable to him – it felt like he was controlling a meat puppet than his own body. ‘Suppose that’s what happens when you’ve been dead for so long.

However, as uncomfortable his current state made him, it wasn’t the most important question on his mind now. That can wait, along with all the other questions he planned on asking in the further. 

But firstly, if he can’t first place who exactly this kid is, he’ll just might as well stop beating around the bush and ask directly.

“Steel as in ghost in the radio Steel?” He doesn’t answer the question, not yet. Instead, without really thinking, he reaches over and places a hand on Steel’s shoulder. “...you are not a ghost.”

The voice was recognizable at least, so it must be somebody he gave ‘guidance’ to while he was dead.  Couldn’t place who it was though.

…well, not yet. 

But where has he heard that voice before?

He offers up a shrug. “Nope, you’re wrong. That’s actually all you’ll find here, a bunch of lost kids.”
