this isn't the ending you wanted

“…” 

He may have flinched for a moment, but after taking a deep breath, Kristopher turned to face Seventh again, brushing aside the sudden appearance of the other person as a minor distraction at most.

“So you’ve encountered… others… with Wildhearts as well? This still isn’t making much sense to me, but I’m willing to listen to everything you have to say about it.”

His words were rushed, and it was clear that he was desperate to get the explanation as soon as possible, before the tension could crush him completely. (After all, should things go awry, he had already planned out how to run to the door. Snipers and soldiers weren’t as much of a threat compared to a room full of stand users )

Oh, of course Utani would show up, and of course he’d harass the newbie right away. Seventh rolls her eyes, but thankfully she doesn’t need to redirect attention to herself.

“It was...a long time ago. I...The other Wildhearts user I knew doesn’t come to the Ghost House anymore.” Well, technically, that version of herself was long gone. She’s just a Carpenters user now.

But enough about that. She hadn’t even actually explained anything. So she’ll dismiss Carpenters to show that she didn’t mean any threat...granted, it was a little late to do that.

“So...I’m not sure where to start exactly, but the best way I guess is to explain what we are. The fact that you can come here, and you’ve got a Stand like that means you’re an Observer too...”

Utani’s not one to sit out when explanations are to be had. He taps Kristopher’s shoulder, not caring if he’s just getting ignored more. If the other boy wanted answers, then he would have to listen anyway. Utani considered himself much better at giving out information after all.

“Allow me.”

“Observers are basically agents of the Universe assigned to decide what ending and version of events come true. None of us knew about this until visiting this place, so don’t worry too much about it.” Despite the crass introduction he’d had, it seemed he actually did know a lot about this. Where could he have learned it from..?

“You //better// not, before I get someone to put you through something even WORSE.” He’s still seething from what just happened. Dear lord.

“I - I promise it!”

Kristopher stumbled back, with only the faint apparition of Wildhearts keeping him from falling unto the floor. The stand stuck around for a moment, almost as though it were making sure its’ user had regained his balance, before disappearing as quickly as it came.

“You… no, everyone here? I don’t understand how that’s possible…”

He glanced around from face to face, before shifting his focus towards the mysterious girl yet again. There was something about her words that sent a chill up his spine… or was it that odd feeling just creeping up on him? What the hell was that odd feeling, anyway?!

That...that Stand! Her eyes widen, and instead of the user, her focus is now on the Stand.

“W-Wildhearts...? Is that you...?”

But...no, wasn’t it that multiple people could have the same Stand here? There had been three people with Carpenters here before, herself included. She quickly stepped back and drew in a breath.

“I’m...sorry, I’m just familiar with your Stand, I knew someone who had it too. I-I suppose I should explain from the beginning...But it might be best if you sat down.”

She beckons him to a couch nearby, and waits until he sits before starting.

Well, she tries to start, but she barely gets a word in when a certain house jerk sidles up to them and plops himself down on Kristopher’s other side.

[ By “other kids” in the Ghost House, Seventh really just means my other 7th Stand User OCs. I have a good number of them and most of them actually have blogs from forever ago, but I’m still not sure if I’ll really bring them all back!

But for reference’s sake, here they are and some quick descriptions. Like the Creator, they might occasionally in threads, with my partners’ permission of course.

“The real Ghost House?”

Tense and uncertain, Kristopher took a defensive stance, looking the stranger straight in the eyes and taking a deep breath before speaking up again.

“Beg pardon, but I have no clue what you’re talking about.”

He wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. He had met all sorts of strange people on his way to Cairo, friends, foes, stands, stand users and all else. After all that, he assumed he had seen everything. And yet meeting this stranger felt like something else entirely.

“Oh, I forgot how confusing it can be...”

It had been so, so long since she first came here...she actually could not remember what it was like to be new to the Ghost House. It was the only home she really knew now, the one place she would always come back to.

“Well, you see...let me preface my explanation with this.” Here, she summoned Carpenters and let it hover beside her, its mechanical tail coiling around her waist. “You have one too, right?”

She smiled at him. “And you’ve been to Egypt, right? Or at least, that’s your destination. You’ve met the Joestars, and the many Stand users that evil vampire sent your way...”

He was NOT IMPRESSED by the girl. Having seen her in action before, he wanted nothing more than to finish the conversation and be DONE with her.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT.” 

Oh...she didn’t like that tone. Would that she still had friends who could back her up, especially a certain classmate of hers.

What a stupid question.. Of all things to ask.. At least it wasn’t the usual ‘uhhhh did you dye it?’ no dipshit I was born with a black strip- of course it’s dyed.

“What..? You mean my hair…? I own a brush.” He wasn’t trying to be sarcastic he genuinely didn’t understand the question. It’s not that he didn’t understand the meaning, but was so baffled that someone would even bother asking something so stupid.

She pauses, blinking at him. “What - oh, no I mean...the dyed part.”

Of course she’d recognize it as dyed, she used to do that in her timelines until one day some cosmic force decided she would just always have black hair rather than blonde.

She’s staring at his hair.

This is the last Stand user in the world she ever wanted to see again, given how things went every time she tried to help Jotaro fight him.
