#because I mentioned chocolate made my throat burn and makes me congested #not that I care #I just ate half a tub of chocolate icing/frosting

Had a funny experience in urgent care today. I already had to go to get a note for work for calling off for pain but I had a flare-up in my jaw joint too, so figured I'd get some treatment for that while I was there

So, I have TMJ disorder and today my jaw kept locking on and off, spasming, and hurt really bad.

I get to an urgent care to get muscle relaxers or steroids (the normal treatment I get for a flare up) and the note. The nurse practitioner starts the regular exam to see how bad the flare-up was

He looked so squeamish when he felt how my jaw was spasming, jumped away from me, hands up in the air, and announced in a high pitch voice "Muscle relaxers!"

#he did collect himself and actually discuss it to see if I needed a referral or anything too #but only after this #/lh /silly #medical stuff #think I was just having an overall pain flare up but eh thats not too abnormal
