Diary of a Sugary Boi

Apart from E-Learning itself the attendance is extremely difficult to follow which is why I suggested going to attendance is due at 12 midnight rule. The reason for this is really simple, students are now waking up later, going to bed in the morning, and having their entire schedules turned upside-down. On top of schedules being wack some teachers are assigning homework due in a day that would usually take a week’s worth of class time to complete. Ah screw-it the rants done wish Marist would change but they obviously won’t.

Onto a lighter topic the weather has been extremely nice out, although I am unable to leave the house going outside to sit on the patio is quite nice. Through this I am able to at least have some semblance of freedom, I do miss the boys however, a few days ago some had a parking lot quarantine meet up of course 6 feet apart but I was also sad and depressed that I can’t or might not see them anymore.

Exhibit A) hydroxychloroquine: the media bashed our President for saying that this drug is effective in treating Covid-19 patients, the media claims “ French study finds hydroxychloroquine doesn't help patients with corona-virus” this is from CNN a large media corporation that millions of people watch. The problem with their headline is that it is false the study they use claim that hydroxychloroquine does not help patients, while in the study itself (https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.10.20060699v1.full.pdf) finds that patients are half as likely to die from Covid-19 if administered hydroxychloroquine ~2% compared to ~5%. The Study says that it doesn’t help patients with the virus due doctors and nurses ceasing the continued administration of hydroxychloroquine after the first dose while James P. Kiley, director, Division of Lung Diseases, NHLBI says  “Hydroxychloroquine has showed promise in a lab setting against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 and preliminary reports suggest potential efficacy in small studies with patients. However, we really need clinical trial data to determine whether hydroxychloroquine is effective and safe in treating COVID-19″. My problem lies in the fact that most of the media has even reverberated China’s talking points including  Zhao Lijian ‘s tweets that promote the theory that the U.S. is responsible for the Corona pandemic in China and throughout the world.

To conclude these are my music tastes and they are great to watch the world fall apart, my apocalypse playlist per se.

I am confident that if given the opportunity Ohio will take over the world, why? Simple Ohioans have a different type of energy that is yet to be discovered, could it be Hamon? Does each Ohioan have a stand? These are the answers that we need questions for. If you couldn’t tell that I’m currently writing this while under the influence then you’re most likely also under the influence, OF LOW BLOOD GLUCOSE! Yes I am writing this while my blood glucose is making me inebriated, luckily I am getting myself an eggnog shake while I type this. And damn did it come out good, its sickeningly sweet and I can already feel my pump going into overdrive to compensate for it. Now back to Ohio or rather the lack of Wyoming, Wyoming is a not a real place nor have I met anyone from Wyoming nor have I ever heard of anyone going to Wyoming and coming back. Same difference with Nebraska, I however have “driven through Nebraska” but for some reason I was asleep the entire time and have no recollection of stopping for gas, food, or refreshments. I also don’t know anyone from Nebraska and am certain that the reason the media may focus on Nebraska from time to time is purely to make sure the rest of the world knows it “exists”. To my FBI agent reading this and whoever is above you... My third eye has been opened to the false states of Nebraska and Wyoming and I know that you work for Ohio, your abilities are known and I will tell all of these supernatural powers.

Ah so here we are again, writing and typing the random things that I do type; randomness inconsistency. Seventeen, thirty two, twelve, seventy three, ten, twelve, I don’t know what I’m doing anymore or what I’m writing. Over the last few years (months [weeks]) I have dedicated to the improvement of the body, Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a workout plan that I’ve been following and damn do my core hurt. Fat people be advised that this workout is mucho core heavy as in I struggled to get out of bed after this. Forty two, fifteen, ten, fifty, four, twenty, I no longer have a muse for these blog posts and therefore I am rambling. Conspiracy theory time, what if the entire time we’re locked in quarantine the government is changing the batteries of the birds, also do you think that the area 51 raid wasn’t successful? If it wasn’t why was the raid so downplayed prior to the beginning of the pandemic, simple someone, somewhere downloaded the area 51 version of plague inc, and hence that’s how the virus started. Twerty three, tenty five, fifthteen, Black is a fantastic color, especially at 4 am when I am writing this on Monday April 13th. Drinking coffee has been increasingly becoming my only outlet to attempt to fix my sleep schedule which has now become a nice 6 a.m. bed to waking up at 12 p.m. noon, honestly its been pretty fun since late night talks are chill and Joji is fantastic for relaxing. 17, 32, 12, 73, 10, 12, 42, 15, 10, 50, 4, 20, -3, -5, --.

Nothing much happening in the last two days, although the same old same old is happening that doesn’t mean things have been boring. Yesterday I broke quarantine to talk with my grandma and have dinner with her, salted ham, cheesy potato casserole and all the fixins. On the way home from babushka’s I saw a few police doing wellness checks and there was even a stop to ask us where and why we are outside. This whole quarantine seemed like a joke for a while until we had to explain to the cops that we were visiting babushka, the whole thing seemed pretty surreal at the time. The cops were questioning people at the “checkpoint” and while at the checkpoint there were cops across the street watching the stores, for what I assume to be people who are somewhat delusional in thinking that the stores are running out of food. Yet the cops were still about and still questioning people. Throughout the rest of the evening I did more and more searching through forums and websites, news, and all of the mainstream media seems to be talking down what’s actually happening while people on forums are posting images from China showing how their unethical practices are continuing to this very hour. 

So I woke up yesterday expecting the usual thing, eat breakfast, jump on discord, talk with the boys but boy howdy was I wrong. The first thing I did yesterday was chop, chop what? Chop old planter boxes, we had several of them from last summer and my dad had decided to take them all down in one day. Hot damn, swinging an axe on old wood is way too satisfying, the things I was going to do didn’t hold a candle to chopping wood, although I sucked at the beginning I just put my mind to it and kept ok going, after going chop, chop, chop, for 2 hours I finished the task I was given I went inside to relax. The first glass of that sugary grape beverage tasted like liquid heaven, it soothed my dry throat and quenched my thirst. Of course my blood sugar skyrocketed but thats for another day. For the rest of the day I was mostly helping my dad straighten up around the house, reading up on news about the virus and especially what’s going on in China. Apparently Indiana and Arizona have called the rest of their school years acts of god. I hope that the same happens in Illinois, not because I just want a free passing grade but because zoom calls have been the bane of e-learning for me. Shout out to Mrs. Scanlon for not forcing one on us :)

Through numerous games, discord conversations, and the absolute coziness of watching the world go ablaze the quarantine has gone bye without much “slowness” per say. Of course the numerous online classes pose their own problems but overall discussing the current news, following the topics of corona and playing minecraft has kept me busy. The “slowness” comes from the lack of things to do outside, it was nearly 60 degrees out today and I couldn’t go driving, walking, on a bike ride, or to the gym. I never fully understood what I take for granted until it’s gone. I feel an acidic feeling in my gut wishing that I could “return” to the good old days where I could float from class to class without a care in the world but unfortunately Covid-19 has ruined those days almost entirely. I still talk to friends and I still try to see the sun yet it all seems so shallow, not my friends but rather I wish to see them again like today.

WHY?

While I understand why the quarantine is happening it hasn’t pushed me to being panicked about my situation, at least not yet. Quarantine has no doubt influenced my daily life but for now it is increasing the amount of healthy food I’m eating and making me learn new skills to cope, a skill which I have been putting off may flourish during this time of distress and help me later in life such as in college. 

Besides the lads, I have kept myself quite content with playing numerous video games, the main one I am completing is Doom Eternal which is an ultraviolet thrill ride of epic proportions. The game has kept me very well entertained throughout the quarantine and besides not being able to physically go out I’m having quite a lot of fun with this E-Learning. This will most definitely be a story for the ages and something I’ll remember not just for the bad but the good that came from it.
