STEADY HANDS
Nurse Chapel:
Itâs because sheâd been unprofessional, is what Christine tries to convince herself of as she snatches her PADD off her desk, tapping at it almost aggressively. âIf thatâs the way youâre going to be about it, Shepherd,â she bites out, sharp, clippedâprofessional. âThere. Take what you need, donât forget to record it. I donât want Leonard giving me grief for the unexplained disappearance of stock.â Her nails drum on the desk, the sound loud in the relative silence of her office. âFeel free to leave now, and try not to come in unless you need to, Shepherd. Weâre all very busy people here in medical. Havenât got time to waste, usually.âÂ
Itâs difficult not to smirk victoriously. Instead, the doctor smiles politely, clasping her hands behind her back. âAlways a pleasure doing business with you Christine.â She replies, âAnd if Leonard gives you grief you can always send him in my direction.â She canât help it as she winks, a soft chuckle leaving her lips as she retrieves what she needs. âI never come here unless I need to!â She replies indignantly, âHonestly, Iâm offended you would ever doubt me.â She shrugs mischievously as she moves towards the door, âI canât help it that Iâm a clumsy sod, and anyway...â She grins wickedly, âLeonard doesnât seem to mind all that much.â
