I went to a tea party today :D It was so cute!!! My favorite type of tea is still black tea, though. Then I finally went to the store and got some drinks and a hello kitty shirt for $1 (yippeee!!!)

exhausted this week took a simulated exam that my school hosted -- it went better than i thought (but definitely not well lol) burn out continues ditched the learning videos and just began to focus on memorizing and practice

found a new part of my local (off-campus) library, they had redone it a couple months ago and it has this beautiful stained glass!! I was the only one in there for a solid 2 hours, its was nice :)

Another boring day... I went to the library and finished more work. I'm almost done with it! I honestly feel very homesick so nothing is appealing rn

Instead of sitting with it, they twist the story in their head and to others to avoid feeling small. They leave out the parts where they messed up and paint themselves as the victim or the hero

It’s not always intentional, it’s a defense mechanism. Admitting that they felt rejected or acted out of jealousy is uncomfortable, so the ego rewrites the narrative to protect itself

But the less capable you are of being vulnerable, the more delusional you become about what really happened. If you can’t face your shame or insecurity, you’ll keep living in a story where nothing is your fault, but nothing ever changes

Exam season has begun. Do I need to say more? I redecorated my study space a bit, because the heater next to my desk was removed (it didn’t work anyway). It’s clean and nice. But I’m still waiting for the motivation to kick in. Lab is stressful. Last Friday I worked 10 hours. 10 hours!? I really like this lab and my supervisor is amazing but I’m still glad when it’s over. I have an interview for my next semester internship position. They have a chill vibe from what I can tell from the mails. Let’s see how this plays out.

Hi there! This blog predates me by quite a few years, but if I had to guess, I'd say the original mod likely saw Tumblr's user base as having a lot in common with those who interact with JSTOR on a regular basis.

Tumblr has a very strong, lively community of people with wide-ranging passions and affinities, much like we do! Not only that, but Tumblr's overall culture of knowledge-sharing and deep engagement with history, literature, media, etc. resonates with us. We're also trying to make scholarship and primary sources more accessible for the curious.
