Study marathon: 2 exams down and only 6 more to go until Wednesday.
Monday is Biology and Physics so I have a lot to study and revise this weekend… seems like I’ll be living on coffee for now.
TIPS ON HOW TO COPE WITH STRESS DURING EXAM SEASON
We have all been there. Exam in a few days and we feel so unprepared.
1. GO OUT 🍃
If you are used to workout, do it. Go for a run or a short/long walk. Nothing helps better than fresh air. You will clear your mind and see things in a better light than before.
2. DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS ❌
To be honest I still compare myself sometimes. I think we all know that feeling. We talk to our friend who says she/he are so unprepared for this exam even though we know she/he study harder than anyone else in the class. And you feel like you REALLY don´t know anything and it makes you feel even worse. Just remember one thing: everyone has different speed and memory. One topic in one hour is perfect. Ten topics in one hour are as perfect as one. You do something for achieving your goal, that is what MATTERS!
3. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF 💪
I know it´s hard. I have an anatomy exam in 5 days and I feel really weird. But I hold on to an image of me and my friends leaving the exam room with big smiles on our faces knowing we passed. Maybe it is just a dream but it keeps me in a good mood and my motivation is still on. Try that and you will feel better trust me.
4. REALIZE THAT FAILURE IS NOT THE END 🥊
I failed one exam in the fall semester. I have never felt so disappointed in myself. But I deserved it. I wasn´t well prepared and when I was re-taking the exam I finally understood what I was studying. It was hard, time-consuming but it made me realize that everybody fails sometimes and no one is perfect. Failure is just another form of a step forward.
5. DRINK AND EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT 🥐
Alright, Alright... I know it is not the healthiest advice but during exams, one of the few things that keeps me sane is chocolate and coffee. There is nothing better for my bad moods. If you keep restricting yourself EVEN during exams it will have a bad impact on your productivity.
6. SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS 👯
Sometimes it is hard to study hard AND go out with your friends but it is definitely worth it. You will see what life is really about. Not about stressing about school and exams or worrying about our future. It is about NOW about what we have and who we have.

4 Tips for effective studying!
1. Watch documentaries!
Probably the best one. This has helped ke a lot especially during studying microbiology (DNA etc).
I had problems with remembering every process because I couldn't imagine it, so I couldn't understand it properly. But after watching some videos, I have a great imagination about it and I remember all of it!
It doesn't have to be an-hour-long documentary, there are plenty of these videos on YouTube.
2. Be organised!
The worst thing is to have a desk covered with your notes, workbooks, useless papers etc. You don't know what to do first.
So make a schedule, decide what is the most important task, what to do first and you'll see you are kore productive.
3. Always take a break!
It is important to let our brain rest (at least for a while). Watch a Study with me video or read some studyblr blogs, anything that will make you motivated.
4. Try to understand as much as you can!
It happens to ke especially in physics or chemistry. I am lazy to put some effort into understanding the problem so I just learn it without knowing the point. After few days I forget about it. But if we understand it, it'll stay in our minds for much longer.

ANATOMY STUDY HACKS
I´m a first-year-uni student in PT, which means that I take anatomy classes. Here are some tips and trick how to make studying anatomy easier:
1. WATCH VIDEOS!
Nothing has been more helpful than this. On youtube, there are many videos of dissection human body or some animated videos for those who are still not sure about seeing a corpse. But actually, visualize all the stuff you have to memorize is amazing and then easier for you to remember. I would recommend this in studying muscles (videos with the motion of the muscle), nerves and bones.
btw. not only for anatomy, but I highly recommend it for microbiology and genetics too. Videos of transcription etc. are awesome.
2. FIND A STUDY BUDDY!
Trust me, this helped me so much so far. While I was studying bones a was lost. Until my friend appeared and started to explain everything to me and we compared our ideas.
3. DON´T JUST MEMORIZE, UNDERSTAND!
I know, i know..Many teachers will probably tell you that anatomy is especially about memorizing stuff. Well, if you try to understand the system as a whole, try to connect everything, it will become so much easier to remember.
4. DRAW!
Draw everything you can. Even though you are not an artist, draw.. It is the same case as with the videos, you have another point of view.
5. USE MANY BOOKS FOR STUDYING!
Not only because of the lack of information in some books, but in every book there are different images of the human parts. And again, the more points of view you have, the more you´ll understand it.
Selflove wannabe
Self-love - one of the most frequent topics nowadays. You hear everywhere how important it is but I will try to deny that.
What about accepting yourself instead? That´s something different than loving yourself. Loving yourself is good, I won´t deny it. But when you love yourself, you don´t want to change it. Imagine your boyfriend, whom you love. Would you change him/her? No, because you love him or her the way he or she is. So when you love yourself, you don´t want to change.
Accepting yourself is the will to do something about your insecurities, it is something that keeps you motivated. It is something, that will transform something you hate into something you love. It is easier to say this, when we talk about losing weight, for example, if you follow a diet and proper workout, it is not that difficult to get to the finish line. Accept you bigger nose, small breasts, not having a thigh gap... Noone can change those things unless you want to undergo a plastic surgery. A confident woman in her own skin is a beautiful woman. Do not hide the thing you are afraid to show. Cross the line, go out without makeup, try something new and start to believe in yourself.
I am not saying I am one of the girls, who are fully okay in their body, there are many insecurities I have. But I´m working on it, and that is the most important thing about this. My goal is not to love myself, it is to accept who I am.
My favourite teacher said this: “People change their bodies to clean up the mess that´s inside their heads”
